I wasn't expecting so dated a place. It was like a throw back to the 60's. But, that was my misconception. I think some things need to be updated. Towels were threadbare, but useable. Still don't like no maid service since Covid. Not sure what the tip envelope is for?

The room was very clean and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect for what we planned to do while we were in the ADK's. Water pressure was insane, but in a good way. Owner very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom facilities reminded me of my bathrrom growing up in the late 1950's. The bathroom was small, but it was well cleaned.

I thought that the Grand View Hotel would have a view of the mountains-but it didn't.

Had received an email through the owners of the motel, via Booking.com, asking when we expected to arrive. Indicated we would get there between 9-10 pm. Received acknowledgement that was ok. Arrived at 10:04 pm and office was closed/locked tight. Luckily I had a phone number for the motel. Called it and the owner, who was apparently in bed, came and let us in. Said they closed up at 8 pm (there was a sign on the door that reflected this but it did us no good) but we had received nothing from the owners (call/voice message) to let us know that and how we were to get in. Under other circumstances, leaving a call/voice message may not have been too feasible but we suspected that same night, and confirmed the next morning, that we were the only ones staying there on that date. Ours was the only car in the parking lot shortly after 10 pm when we arrived and the only car in the lot when we left the next morning around 8:30 am. I'm guessing the motel is likely closed for the year on, slightly after or even slightly before Labor Day, for the year. That seems to be something they would let external booking websites know so that travelers don't end up in a situation like we almost did. Oh well...live and learn.

Location was nice in/near Adirondack State Park. We really were just looking for a decent place to stay overnight as we travelled across NYS.

Loud, old AC. Room is clean, but furniture is a bit tired. No flexibility on 10AM checkout time.

Ideally situated near centre of Wilmington and along a major bike route. Great water pressure.

The bed could have been comfier, but it was fine. They need a new shower head, it felt we were getting blasted by a fire hose. Kinda hard to stand under.

Great location. We went to go hiking. Very quite, we love Wilmington. They did have a pool, which was nice but too chilly to swim. The property was very well kept.

Shower stall did not drain, not sure if it was because of the super water pressure or if they needed cleaning. Towels provided were very poor quality.

My biggest complaint is value for money. I found the place expensive for what we got. The towel ran thin, the shower was not strong. The rooms were comfortable, but outdated. No lotion or shower caps.

The location was good. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean, but there were bugs in the room.

Guests adjacent to my room pounded on the wall several times yelling that the music was to loud at 930pm . There was no music or noise of any sort coming from my room. When they were addressed about it , they said we'll we need to get up early for hiking and someone's making noise. No apologies. Beds were so dated and hard and pillows were dollar store. But the owner was a very pleasant man, so I didn't complain.
