Historic, big rooms, nice breakfast, kind staff, bible in the room

Staff was extremely unaccomodating. I knocked the locked door at 1 pm and was greated with 'check-in is at 3pm!' I said, that I am well aware but just wanted to leave my luggage and come back at 3. They said they didn't have a place to put my luggage. (In a huge mansion.) And things might get stolen (in the locked B&B) she couldnt leave it with her behind reception, as that was where she is working... When they finally believed me that i didnt have a car, they just checked me in, as the room had been ready all along... breakfast is not great either. Certainly no full southern breakfast.

Door to our room didn't lock. The receptionist recommended to slam it, yet didn't do anything else about it (we carried our valuables when walking around for sightseeing in town - rather unpleasant). In the restaurant the credit card could not be electronically read and data had to be punched in letter by letter and digit by digit. No printed receipt for restaurant or stay was possible. Announced to be e-mailed copy of the receipt instead didn't arrive. - There is some room for improvment in a house that is proud to exist and offer services since the 19th century..

Atmosphere of a traditional guesthouse with numerous pictires, books, and easy chairs for sitting, talking or reading in the hallways. Large room with plenty of stylish furniture. Clean and comfortable room with good bathrolm facilities. Friendly staff at reception and in restaurant.

My room had lighting too subdued for me - I like to read and that wasn't easy. I also found the Wi-Fi was weak. Most disappointingly, dinner was a minor disaster: nothing happened for 45 minutes after ordering, then the starter and main course arrived together, such that the latter was cold by the time I got to it. The chef was good but the organisation terrible; they don’t serve beer and the place was freezing. If I were staying a second night I wouldn’t have eaten there.

A lavishly furbished hotel and room: in fact my room was splendid, with two four-poster beds and lavish furnishings. Natchez is a small city and the hotel was very well placed both for town and river.

Breakfast was quite simple, about as shown in the photos. Personally, I didn’t feel fully satisfied and ended up heading to a nearby café for something extra. That said, it’s possible I just didn’t realize that more food or refills could have been requested on-site.

I really liked the hotel building — it’s beautiful on the outside and cozy inside. The room was spacious and nicely designed. I especially appreciated the powerful air conditioner, which was a real relief in the heat. The staff deserves special mention: polite, attentive, and always willing to help — thank you for that.

The Roku was missing from our room. The staff was notified and we were told they would get us one. We never got anything and were unable to watch tv 🥲

We got a bottle of wine because our room was by the ice machine.

The coffee was not good. It tasted like bad water. I didn't find any tea bags, which would have been a good substitute.

It was a lovely place close to shopping and restaurants. The restaurant on the ground floor was very good. I love Mediterranean food. I enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch outside my room.

You had to let the water run in the shower for a good 5-10 minutes before it heated up.

Lovely historic mansion. Room was sweet and usual for its period. Food was very nice and the staff obliging.

The carpet in the bedroom felt a bit sticky!! I don't why that was!

We loved the historic feel and all the decor! The beds were super comfy and the rooms are a great size. Check in was really smooth and quick and we had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful breakfast in the lovely sun room.

Breakfast was very poor, whit black pieces big like peas floating in the coffee. No one available for the breakfast at the opening time.

The room was amazing and the whole historic building simply fantastic. Included parking very conveniently located and rocking chairs on the patio.

Nothing. Some reviews mentioned the noise of the ice machine, but we didn't really notice anything.

Great location, quirky period room with comfortable bed. Friendly welcome, generous breakfast ... a great experience of the old South. Natchez is also really great. Stop off ... beautiful town with great tacos by the river and pizza at the brewery.

It would have been more convenient if the room had a refrigerator. It was a Tuesday and both the dining room and bar were closed, but we didn't know until we were checked in. Even then we misunderstood the receptionist and were expecting to eat and have a drink. Oh well.

Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet and cozy. Our high point was the friendly service provided by the breakfast staff. Big smile, courteous and helpful.
