Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

The property matched the description - it is relaxed, cozy and quaint. It is on a well traveled paved road and you'd think it would be noisy but it was very quiet. Our room had a spacious deck with a view overlooking vegetation/garden and the ocean in the distance. We were able to see the sunset. The hosts were informative and gracious. The breakfasts on the upper deck were exceptional! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

United StatesThe coqui frogs come out at dark and you may need ear plugs. However, the natural setting, location, and breakfast on the upper deck are truly special.
We really enjoyed the peaceful garden setting with a lovely view of the ocean in the distance. The room was clean and cozy and we loved the lanai. The hosts were helpful and attentive and the breakfast was excellent.

United StatesNothing. It was all fabulous.
Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the ocean from the spacious lanai. The property owners, Carl and Elma, were friendly and helpful, even when I was a Bad Guest and lost our room key (but I found it again!). Breakfast was substantial, delicious, and a bit different every day. Did I mention the gorgeous view?

United StatesRoom walls were a little thin, but didn't bother us thanks to the quiet guests.
Very welcoming host, Carl, and his wife Emma's delicious breakfast. The view of ocean and wildlife from our lanai (deck) was wonderful. Tropical plants, flowers, and birds on site, yet the convenient location is just off the main highway. The reasonably priced room was the best cost performance.

United StatesDog droppings on the lawn caused odor, especially during rains, and hampered my enjoyment of the room's lanai.
Loved the quiet, secluded location and the interface with wildlife. The room's lanai was a perfect place to contemplate the day and watch sunsets. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, with the outdoor setting being an exceptional start of the day. The innkeeper's friendliness made him feel like a friend. Hi Carl!

United StatesThe queen-size mattress had edges a bit too soft and saggy for me, but I found the middle of the bed was firmer. Driving out onto the highway from the driveway can be a bit tricky; blind curves do not allow distant views of oncoming traffic... be careful... when it's clear and you go, step on it & go quickly.
The hosts, Carl & Emma, were gracious, helpful & informative. Each bedroom suite had a private Lanai and full bathroom. The lanai had a small refrigerator, which was a nice surprise, and I used it to store food and drinks. The lanai overlooked state park land and had a distant ocean view; I enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. With no AC, the ceiling fan was helpful. I left the patio door open at night, allowing the sounds of nature (frogs, crickets, etc.) to lull me to sleep along with the cooling night air.

Absolutely amazing. The owners should put better photos on Booking.com. All 4 rooms have a terrific ocean view, a tropic forest behind a window, endless songs of Hawaiian birds in the evening and in the morning! The room was clean and nice, the lanai was beautiful, and the owners were very nice people. Breakfast was great, homemade food that the owners make for their guests every morning. Having your breakfast on the huge balcony on the second floor surrounded by tropical trees canopies with myriads of birds was amazing. Location was also convenient for us as we were exploring the entire island. There is a large supermarket in 15 min drive from the house.

IsraelEntrance and exit to the drive way is a bit problematic - straight to the road. Shouldn't be a problem for drivers with a driver's license for several years😉
First of all, many thanks to the hosts! They were very kind, provided a lot of information and trained snorkelling equipment. Excellent breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We received a map and explanations about the area. On the last day, we had to leave early in the morning, so they prepared an excellent breakfast for us to take on the road! We really enjoyed our stay there. The location is outside the city, but very close. Entrance and exit to the drive way is a bit problematic - straight to the road. Beyond that - we would stay there again.

United StatesNothing to complain about
It's a nice place to stay and enjoy the nature setting of its location. There are three rooms, each with a large lanai with views of the ocean and lush vegetation. They are great spots to watch the sunset. There is a couch and two comfortable chairs plus a dining table and two chairs on the lanai. There is also a refrigerator there. In the common area there is a microwave, some dishes, can opener, tea and a tea kettle and utensils. Beach chairs, boogie boards, mats, beach towels, a beach umbrella and snorkeling equipment are available there to borrow. The ensuite bathroom has a shower that is fine. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner are all provided, as well as liquid hand soap at the sink. The room itself is small and simply furnished, but with the lanai and the common area this is not a problem at all. There is a ceiling fan and plenty of [screened in] ventilation so the temperature was comfortable. There didn't seem to be any mosquitoes and we sat on the lanai at night with shorts on and no insect repellent. The hosts and their dog are nice. Carl gives you a map of the area and gives a detailed description of places to see and things to do. It might be a good idea to record it to retain all of the information. Breakfasts is served at 8:00 AM and they are very good. We were there six nights and the breakfasts were never the same. They always included fruit. They have several papaya trees that provide some of the fruit. The breakfast is served up on the top deck with excellent views and nice plants. There are two bird feeders that Carl fills up each morning and it's nice to watch the activity while you eat. Very many Java Sparrows (an introduced species) dominate the feeders- jockeying with each other for access. Saffron Finches and Cardinals also make appearances and sometimes manage to grab some food. We also had beautiful Gold Dust Day Geckos come onto our table at breakfast.

ItalyWe were looking for a quiet place surrounded by the nature. We found it completely. The room is small but it has a lanai that can be used as living or dining room. Home made (very good!) breakfast is served on a terrace on the upper floor with a great view on the nature and the sea. The hosts are very kind and familiar.
