It was a little bit cold. The circuit breaker tripped, and we lost power upstairs or on the 2nd floor of the unit. No shower curtain. The bathroom could have been slightly cleaner than it was. The check-in process was a little bit hectic at 1st.

I loved the area and the place. It was quiet and cozy. It looked great. Loved the location. I enjoyed the area and surroundings. My 1st time in a property like this one. I would do it again. If the weather was warmer, I would have used the hot tub. The location was very convenient. Great number of beds. Perfect for 4 or more people.

Spa and some electrical outlets didn't work during our stay. The decor is dated, but it doesn't detract.

Great house, really enjoyed the huge windows looking into the rain forest. Felt like you were in a tree house. Hot water, decent kitchen for meals, central location on the island, close to volcano national park.

Is rural and nothing nearby (we didn’t have a car) to pick up drinks or snacks.

Was a good one night stay before heading out again. Comfortable clean beds four our family of 5. Clean towels available. TV works. Complementary coffee (6 cup pot) uses water from 5 gal dispenser as the water is not potable.

Overpriced! Furniture is 25 years old including the beds. Cosmetic touch-ups try to fake away the poor condition of the room. The carpet floor which covers both stories has more stains than one could count and is probably growing germs of all kinds in this warm/humid climate. When we arrived all windows were opened and the room was cold. We had looked forward to using the fireplace but the place was out of gas and was not refilled over our 4 nights stay. Instead we were told to us a small electric heater to heat-up the entire place. Electricity did work but charging our phones was impossible. The issue was ignored by the landlord. The 4 beds are all in the same room, so good luck finding some privacy if you were traveling with a larger party.

The location is very close to the Volcano National Park entrance. So if you get up early you will be the first at the parking lot. It gets very quiet at night except for the birds and the trees.
