the house was equipped with everything we needed - thank you for the nice welcome presents which we enjoyed. The house was very clean and the service +communication was fast, very friendly and excellent. We had the best time in Hilo and around. The house was perfect to spend time together during breakfast or enjoying the garden or cooking dinners in the evening - it almost felt like home

The dog who barked at all hrs. Although, he made a cool donkey like bray/ howl when ever a siren was heard.. :)

We loved being able to cook our own meals, trips to Volcano park, the weather, BBQ local fish, closeness to town and swimming/snorkeling areas. The special touches such as condiments, honey, coffee, olive oil ect.

The home was super comfortable, spotless and had many updates to make our stay great! It's obvious the owners take a lot of pride in providing guests a memorable experience. We liked the central location, as it was easy to get to restaurants, stores and sights in downtown and the surrounding areas. The driveway below street level wasn't a problem for us, as we had read about it in other reviews. Parking on street was easy too. We were just totally surprised how fresh, clean, new and homey the house felt, and we would have loved to have stayed longer! When back in Hilo, we'll definitely stay here.

Didn't realize that AC was only in each of the rooms! There was a fan in the living room + ceilings but didn't really help with the humidity. Pretty low water pressure in the shower -- changing the mode on the shower head helped but it was still quite weak!

The place was very well equipped and clean! Just as pictured. The beds and the sofas were comfortable. ACs in the room worked fine :)

Our stay was perfect in every way. The location is great. It is a quick car ride to multiple shopping areas and the same to drive down to the water for a swim. The water is about a 20min walk if you are feeling like a leg stretch. Hilo centre is also only a few minutes by car (and another 10min walk from the beach). There are a few eateries within walking distance too. The house is spotless, lovely and welcoming. The owners have thought of everything you might need for your stay. It is equipped as if it is your home, from outdoor gear (beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels, esky/cooler etc) to a completely equipped kitchen with coffee machines and an impressive array of crockery etc. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds are comfortable. There is also a washing machine and dryer if you need it. I can't think of anything that could have been added to this well appointed house. I can see why all the reviews are so positive. The owners are available to answer any questions and are very friendly and helpful. They also provide recommendations for local places to eat etc. Thanks so much for a perfect stay.

Wish it had another bathroom. We are a party of six people and we had to strategically schedule use of bathroom.

We were pleasantly surprised upon walking inside. Everything is clean! The kitchen provided everything needed to cook our meals: sharp knives, wine screws, coffee maker with filters and raw sugar that we like and a Keurig, VITAMIX but we didn’t use. Bedding very clean and comfy. Lots of windows for great airflow. Separate AC in each bedroom. Kind of noisy but turn on early to cool the room, turn off when desired temp then use the ceiling fan overnight…perfect. Washer/dryer…perfect. Outdoor propane grill used for steaks…perfect. Large front and back yards. A tree in front yard with beautifully scented flowers. Location is great with just 5 minutes from airport. Close to Target, Safeway, Walmart. Recommend a visit to Pineapple restaurant and 2 Ladies Kitchen for awesome mochi.

On-site parking is a very steep driveway, but there are street spots that are always open. The kitchen table and chairs were a little high and wobbly but it worked.

Nice and comfortable. Good extras like snorkeling equipment, beach towels and chairs, and a small outdoor grill. Kitchen had nice olive oil and salt and pepper which we appreciated.

Great location. It was close to the beautiful waterfalls. I also appreciated all recommendations that were left for us by the owner. As a family of 4, we were all very comfortable with plenty of room.

Frog croaking all night, though I understand this is a widespread hilo problem.

Place was very welcoming, amenities all complete. There was even beach equipment and snorkels available. Hosts left cookies n coffee as gifts

The floor was a little noisy and the "wild" life super noisy! However, someone may enjoy the "sweet dreams" singing of the frogs/night birds (not sure...) and the "good morning" alarm of the nearby rooster. You definitely do not need to set an alarm! For the rest, the owners provide earplugs. In conclusion, the noises were not annoying for myself but it is a fact that someone might find hard to deal with.

I appresiated the hospitality, the treats the owners have left, the beach equipment, and I really enjoyed the super comfortable beds and the extra spacy that place is.

The driveway was too steep. I couldn't park my car in the driveway.

The facilities were excellent. They had even provided surf boards and snorkelling gear.

There was no A/C, but as long as there is a breeze and open windows, plus lots of room fans, it wasn't an a big issue.

They did great with the little details, like a welcome note with a welcome basket and they made sure every room was stocked with towels and bathroom amenities. They were very quick and responsive to any inquires I had.
