United StatesMattress was the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept on in a hotel. Twice the room key card wouldn't unlock the door?? A/C unit was extremely loud every time it kicked on, waking me up all night long. I will be back up in Ma again in August and I just tried to book the same type of room & the price is now $200.00+ more than I paid in July, which makes no sense to me. I'm in Ma every couple of months & need a hotel each time - it would be nice to have consistent pricing so I could make this hotel my primary place to book. However, with fluctuating pricing that is not going to happen. I will be booking elsewhere.

United StatesThe only thing I didn't like (why I gave a nine and not a ten rating) was that the pool was closed. I had read many reviews beforehand so I knew it was closed, but apparently it hasn't been open in years yet they continue to advertise as if it is. I never planned on swimming, (just an overnight stop over) but I feel bad for families with children who look forward to using the pool. The motel should state in its advertising that the pool is unavailable.
I liked that it was easy to find yet back from the busy main road and you could see the water.The motel was really modern, clean and updated and our room was as well. Staff were friendly and professional. There was a nice, simple breakfast with hot and cold items and a comfortable seating area. I would definitely come back, and I recommend the Auburn Hampton Inn!

United States1. breakfast ok but eggs dry and no taste and ran out of one coffee and had to track someone down who was frustrated w the coffee makers they have. 2. Toilet handle- had to play with it to get it to work and the next morning- it literally came all the way out. This one really surprised me-out of all the things that should work- toilet should be top of the list. Should be on list to check before the next person comes. As I said above, Sheri responded immediately. I said we would be gone a good bit of the day at a wedding and it would be much appreciated if it could be fixed when we returned. 3. Mold on various locations in the shower. Also, some locations on the edge where holders or screws missing on door guide. 4. Heat- never experienced a heating system like this one- we are used to setting the heat to say 69 and it heats it up and maintains it, cycling as needed. our thermostat shows the temp of the room and the temp we set it at. In our room, we spent a good bit of the stay with it pumping cold air- we set it on 70, and it would take awhile to produce hot air and then once at temp (I guess because there is no indication of room temp) and then it would be pumping cold air. I called the front desk and she tried to explain that is just the way it is and when she could see I wasn't satisfied, she sent someone up who basically said the same thing- it is what it is-sorry about that. Can't do anything. Don't know if all Hamptons HVAC are like this? I am a Hilton Honors member and would ask about heat in next booking.

United StatesThe laundry fee was the highest we've ever had to pay anywhere we have traveled. $7.00 to wash and $7.00 to dry. The pool was out of order so that was disappointing. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.
The location was just what we wanted. Restaurants were nearby and I-90 was conveniently right down the road. Free parking. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was good.

United StatesThe room had a horribly stale smell and I needed to wedge a shoe in the door to get fresh air. The windows do not open and the a/c only circulates stale air. The comforters on the bed are not wrapped in clean sheets, which is just unhygienic.

United StatesApparently, the Hilton/Hampton Inn reservation system does not interface well with reservations made through third party agencies and websites. As a result, it took us an hour to sort out the situation before we could check in.
The lobby, reception and breakfast were all very welcoming, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was close to our final destination, visiting Worcester Polytechnic Institute, too. Although our reservation through Booking.com was somehow lost (didn't make it into the Hampton Inn system), the staff was helpful with resolving the matter.
