United StatesThe property itself was fine, but the people that worked there, not so much. We stayed for two nights, four people in a room. We left the second morning after eating breakfast. The bananas ( ALL OF THEM!) looked like they had their best days weeks ago. They were black, soft and rotten! The rest of the food looked decent, but the woman working the room was just unpleasant, not saying good morning after being spoken to and snappy when asked about food. We left about 10:00 and returned after a long, exasperating day. The room had not been attended to and that included no new towels and trash cans overrunning. When I went down to inquire, the desk clerk told me that it is done every other day. I asked where that was posted and she said that she had just come in at 3:00. AND???? There was another woman that was down the hall from me and had the same complaint that I had. She brought towels and took the trash away after I went back upstairs.
It was close to where I wanted to be.

United StatesI did not like the front desk staff that was elusive and rude. We’ve called and ask for the manager several times only to be told that she was on another line, she was out of the office, she was off that day. Not once were we able to speak with a manager?
The reason we liked the property is because it had a pool and a hot tub. Unfortunately, the night we had booked, both were closed on a Saturday night.

United StatesDidnt like the sewer smell in the hotel. Hot tub was broken and pool wasn't heated. Snacks were very expensive. Had to switch rooms because of sewer smell. We were on the first floor and had to go to second floor for ice because the ice machine on the first floor was out of order.

United StatesDogs are allowed on this property. One of the people we were traveling with has allergies and did experience eye irritation and sneezing in the mornings. The big problem we had was being told that our 2 rooms that I had confirmed reservations for were unavailable because Booking.com over booked the hotel. What! They said they had 1 room not 2. After some back and forth a room mysteriously opened up. That was strange. Management of the hotel said that third party booking sites don’t let the hotel know how many rooms they book who is booking the rooms etc so this happens. First time this had happened to us so maybe directly calling the hotel to reserve would be a better choice. The second thing to happen was, Labor Day morning the coffee and hot water machine wasn’t working so people were grumpy! The poor kitchen lady tried really hard to try to fix the situation and ended up going to Mc Donald’s to fill the coffee containers. The hotel is under new management so hopefully they will get these issues sorted out soon. The staff was very nice and helpful tho.
This is a long review sorry but we had an eventful stay!This Hampton Inn is a convenient location. It’s a college town so if there are home games it might be hard to get a reservation. There are a lot of wineries in the area that are really good. The beds are comfortable and rooms are nice. The rooms do need a little bit of updating and the towels and shower curtains need to be replaced.

CanadaThe door to our room was hard to open and then slammed when it closed. The toilet was loose. The carpet was wet and sticky. We intentionally paid more for this room expecting a better experience, we should have saved some money and stayed somewhere else.
The staff was great, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was really good.

United StatesOur first room smelled like sewer - fortunately the clerk gave us a different room that did not have that problem. However, he said it is a known issue that is not being addressed for the long-term. With other options in the area, I am likely to try another hotel for future stays.
Staff was amazing: the nighttime front desk clerk (I can't remember his name) was kind - there was a guest struggling and he helped her with kindness and respect. Margaret was great at breakfast.

When I went to the front desk to get 2 sets of clean towels, I was told they were out of clean towels! However, they were able to provide ‘pool’ towels. Pool towels are not bath towels.

United StatesThe door to the bath would not close. The towels were thin and cheap. The breakfast was not as good at other Hampton inns. In Atlanta we had hot eggs and bacon. Here, we had a frozen egg sandwich that needed microwaving but no instructions as to how long.

United StatesThis falls very short of a Hilton property. The spa was not working and was a disgusting scummy mess. Our room did not get cleaned on the 2nd day there. Our entry door has a gap, it must not be a fire safety door. Our bathtub was like a canoe it went up on the sides and down in the middle. The best part were the people that set up the breakfast they worked so hard and did a great job. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It needs some remodeling and maintenance done on it.
