How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff recognized my request to be close to the elevator and gave me a great room. The water pressure and temp were great. The lounge in the room was the best after I had surgery. Pool area looked great.

The hallways of this labyrinth of a hotel are really not inviting. Dark and sad. The patrons of the hotel seemed shady, and that might not be the fault of the hotel, but I didn’t feel fitting in.
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Friendly staff, good partking, big bath and comfortable bed.

Bathroom sink faucet needed attention. Breakfast was too limited for someone who doesn't eat bacon and eggs. There were no topping for the oatmeal which was only packaged and had way too much sugar. THe fresh fruit wasn't all that fresh. The second day of my stay, I did not eat there.
Good location. I think this hotel was older, but still in good condition. It was not exceptional, but still fine to stay for a few days.

There was mold in quite a few places on the ceiling in the room.
The area was perfect, the beds were comfortable and the extras such as soaps and shampoo and lotions were very nice. The room stayed nice and cool.

I wish all the rooms were walk in glass showers. Would recommend to pull the carpet and put hard wood.

The water in the shower and sink took forever to get hot and the toilet was too low and it takes forever to flush. The mini fridge needed to be defrosted and a top rack. The WiFi kept going out.
The location was great, the ambiance of the hotel was beautiful, the atmosphere was also great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nice and clean.

I didn’t like that the elevator smelled like smoke & also was a bit greasy and grimy. The room also had some paint peeling from the ceilings of the bathroom & room. Also the couch fabric I couldn’t help but think that it wasn’t sanitized properly being that I’m sure there have been sexual encounters I would prefer it be a different material or at least stain free.
The location was nice. The pool was in good condition and the room was clean.

Safety lighting outside wasn’t very bright. Would be nice to have a dining area refresh. Not very inviting or comfortable. Room A/C was very noisy. Humidity in the room made carpet and bedding feel damp. Faucet in the tub/shower leaked badly. Very hard to find the “sweet spot” for shutting it off after use. Handle would turn 360 degrees!
Location was convenient to downtown Raleigh and attractions we were visiting. Clean public areas. Room was nice and comfortable. Nice choices for breakfast that were presented well and were fresh. Area was clean.

The first day there someone opened our room door without knocking. Next day I was naked and was going to take a shower when someone opened the door without knowing again. I have stayed at this property several times and this has not happened before. When checking out I told the person at the desk that this happened twice. She said the person should have knocked and she was sorry it happened and was supposed to let the manager know. I am not sure she did.
Location was perfect, room was clean.

The property was amazing. I did have an issue with my first room but went down to the lobby talk to a gentleman named Kirk, and he resolved my issue and offered me another room. He was professional and very helpful.

Upon check-in, I was notified that had I not pre-paid online, I would have been turned away. The owner has a 'no locals' policy and will refuse anyone who lives within a 30 mile radius of the property.
Convenient location to meet our needs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean.

I reserved a King Room, but unfortunately encountered a few issues. Several electrical outlets and light fixtures were not functioning, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the desk in the room did not include a chair, making it difficult to work comfortably on my computer.
The location was highly convenient for my scheduled engagements. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean, and the staff provided outstanding service. While I didn’t have the chance to utilize the amenities personally, those I observed seemed to be enjoying them thoroughly
