We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had a great experience staying at this Family Guest House in Newark. As a group of seven, we needed an affordable place to stay, and this spot was ideal. The room was clean and comfortable, with convenient kitchen facilities and parking. I highly recommend it.

GermanyEverything else: The room and the beds smelled very musty, I slept on a towel in my clothes. The toilets were on the floor, I could not find any toilet paper. There was no drinking water or anything, the shuttle from and to the airport is also not free. This is not a hotel as the name suggests, its a hostel - and not even a good one. I would rather stay at the airport over night than choosing this again. Even worse, I had to pay 300$ for this one night. I wonder how this is listed in booking.com

NorwayWhere to start... maybe by the front door where unpaid bills was piled up. Or the trash can in the kichen full of bugs and other creepy insects. The air conditioner might have been a pre war model and made a big noise but did little for the cooling of the room. The bathroom in the hallway could need a good cleanup. And somebody should definately maintain the property much better.
I dont have anything positive to say unfortunately.
