Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The size of the room we selected with Queen bed was a bit small
Very thoughtfully designed room and it was very clean. The room was on the first floor, so it was very convenient. The outdoor patio was so pleasant to sit in the morning sun. The outdoor stuff was very comfortable. It even has a Bluetooth speaker, which we enjoyed listening to with our own music on our iPhone. The Internet TV in the room worked perfectly. The location is perfect. The hostess at the front desk was so helpful with information about touring the Badlands.

Friendly staff, good selection of beer to buy in the shop/office. Coffee and snack available in the office. Rooms are clean and freshly painted and decorated. You can walk to everything in town.

The only downside was the early check-out time at 10 a.m., which felt a bit rushed. Also, there weren’t many amenities available—but I was aware of that when I booked, so it wasn’t a surprise.
The cabin was super cute and offered a beautiful view, making for a peaceful and scenic stay. We loved that it was within walking distance to both the downtown strip and the Badlands, which made it the perfect spot for a one-night stay. Overall, a charming and convenient place to stay if you're looking for simplicity and great surroundings.

Price was a little high! Allot of dog rules & extra price for dog that should be included.

would have appreciated a breakfast option given limited food options within the area. the check in area has room to host a continental breakfast situation if they ever wanted to look into it.
the location within the town of wall was great. easy to walk into town to get dinner or visit wall drug. rooms were pristine and well maintained.

Amenities are limited but we were staying for a night on our way to Deadwood. Street sweepers were out at 515 am. So definitely an early wake up call.
Neat clean and friendly staff. Great location.

Nothing to complain about
Nice beds. Good access to downtown. Very unusual, interesting ceiling fans that included a ceiling light...the lighting show outside the room was a plus

The breakfast was pretty limited, but it gave us a little something to get started for the day.
The family cabin was spacious and well equipped.Close to town and the entrance to the Badlands. Staff was really sweet. It was certainly the best value available for a group of 5.

The light by the bed wasn’t bright enough to read by.
They honored my bad memory and moved us to a room off the street. No problem. And then I discovered I hadn’t asked that motel but another. I’m sorry! They have thought of everything.

One word of warning-there was a loud noise from a trucking business down the street that occurred about 2am both nights we were there. That noise might just impact the standalone cabins and not the rest of the clustered rooms. Also, when the train comes through at night, that could rouse a sleeping infant.
The parking right outside our cabin 17 was so convenient-easy to unload and load. We loved having a separate unit with no shared walls-no sounds of other neighbors is so great-no kids running overhead or people yelling on their phones to be heard-very nice!

Kind of basic for the price, noisy for the rooms near, mattresses were hard.

The staff were so friendly the minute I walked in to check into our room. Rooms are very Clean and beds are comfortable. I would highly recommend this place and it is 1 block from Wall drug. The wagon cabins are cute. Thank you so much.
