As I was arranging the pillows for bed I noticed 2 of them had mascara stains on them, ick. In the morning I unfolded a clean towel and found a large black stain over half of the inside of it so it was indeed not a clean towel.

The room was not very clean. We're not super picky and understand that hospitality staff is stretched thin, but the pillows literally smelled like urine, which was pretty hard to get past. All of the linens smelled terrible, we had to buy Febreze and air fresheners at the dollar store to make the room tolerable. There was also no one in the office the multiple times we checked, so even if we wanted to ask for clean towels etc., we couldn't have.

Breakfast was not offered. Spiders in room. Bathroom very small on positive note lots of mirrors. Hair dryer did not work. Later heard owner passed away last year. Understand staff did the best they coukd with what they had.

Hair in the sink when we got there, dusty, not much ventilation in the bathrooms so the place smelled musty. Could improve the feel if less decor collected dust and carpet was replaced with wood or laminate flooring.

Very dated room- poor lighting, bed was not comfortable and there was no hairdryer. Room could use some updates. Ceiling looked as if areas could fall in from water damage.

Like most in Herman’s the property is rundown and over priced. But better rates in the summer than Oktoberfest!

The place is a two night minimum. They did honor us only being booked for one night So that was good.

The location was good they did add extra tax to our room which I thought was odd being we was booked way in advance. The breakfast wasn't much and place could use some updates I do like that the rooms had storm doors which alot of places don't.

No ‘living room’ there is a parlor with a table, but there aren’t any couches to just chill out.

Very dirty, bugs in our room! They called the area we had to go thru the Library but all it was a dropping grind for cleaning that obviously wasn't used much. There was an office but we never saw any staff at all. The offer on booking said breakfast was included which was not available. The only way I got ahold of anyone was through the website. Very disappointing! They said the room they put us in was supposed to be closed for remodeling and it had been an error so we had to move to a room that was only marginally better.

The cottage that they "upgraded" us to had hair in the bathtub, there were holes in the walls, and no extra blankets available. The website said there is free WI-FI, but no one answered about a password. There were no attendants onsite - the office was locked the whole time and if you didn't text between 3 & 6, no one was helping

Location was great! We were in walking distance to everything.

No shower curtain and dirty cups under the bed, the room was not clean. They did correct the missing shower curtain.
