It was run down and sloppy fixes in the bathroom made it feel dingy. The town itself was not an option for the purpose of our trip but was not a location I would choose willingly and will not stay in again. It didn’t feel unsafe but was what my husband would call an “armpit” town. We did not know the area and our daughter was doing training at the military base. Now that we are familiar with the area we would travel 15min closer to the beach where the area is much nicer.

The staff were very friendly and they had a decent sitting area outside the second floor elevator that was useful for getting some work done while my family was in the room.

Small indoor pool. 30/40 minutes from beaches of Emerald Isle. Though this part is no fault of the hotel, unless you’re into bar hoping, everything everywhere seems to close at 9/10pm.

Breakfast - great. Has a navel plane museum behind the property. Staff - super nice. Clean room.

The cable isn't good due to not a lot to watch, the charging stations need updating and the breakfast menu could be more choices.

I like the location, it was quiet. It has an indoor pool which was good in case of the rain. The breakfast was nice. The room was big and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The elevator is located in the lobby. There is a business area for printing, laundry room with one washer one dryer and an ice machine. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a snack bar.

We stayed here for 5 days and can't really complain about anything.

A special thanks to the desk housekeeping and dining room staff who were ever present with a pleasant attitude and helpfulness, especially Ray (sp?) who seemed to work day and night. Hot breakfast was nice. We apprreciated the coffee and cold water bottles always available

There was a problem with their fire alarm system the last day there, and no one seemed to know how to silence the alarm. We booked this hotel because of the pool, but it obviously didn't get cleaned properly every day.

Very convenient for our visit to see grandchildren. Though Havelock isn't close to New Bern, where we went on a tour and had lunch, it's also not terribly far. Same for the aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Several decent restaurants in the area to offset the overwhelming number of fast food places.

The building shows its age; bare spots on the carpet, the fridge in the room froze everything even after turning down the thermostat, the most convenient outside door didn't have a working key card reader. Don't know if it's by design, but there weren't towel bars in the bathroom; we were there for a week and don't get fresh towels daily, so it was a bit of a trick to hang them out.

The location was perfect - close to where our granddaughters live. A variety of decent restaurants close by and lots of fast food options for after school sporting events. The breakfast was very good and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming, especially in the breakfast area. Access to the pool for the girls is a must and we spent time there almost daily.

If I had to be critical then only disappointments would have been the sausage at breakfast was not great quality. Very processed and the potatoes were stale like they may have been from the day before. But we ate them anyways

The lobby/breakfast area were very nice. The breakfast had many great warm options including protein which was a bonus. The room was nice and spacious. We had a king bed that was very comfortable. The room was quiet and dark. The couch was rather worn and should probably be replaced soon. The location was very convenient to the marine base and we appreciated that since we were there to visit our son. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The value was good. We would stay here again

Guests next door were noisy after midnight.

The breakfast was very good and cook staff was very friendly and bubbly. All breakfast items were well stocked and the fruit was fresh.

There were 2 cars that took over 8 spots in the hotel's parking lot. Other guests had to park further away. Hotel staff needed to address the 2 customers and make them park in the conference parking lot.

Very good breakfast, alot to choose from. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. It was quiet, didn't hear any of the other visitors. The location suited our needs. Offered alot of amenities. Enjoyed our stay.

It is very nice that they give out free coffee but especially water, given the hot weather. The room was large, bed was comfortable, everything was clean. The staff was welcoming. Overall, for what we paid, we're happy. P.S. Very much appreciated the follow-up and customer care check-in messages from management.

The furnishings are extremely worn, dented and in need of replacement. The upgrading has been needed for several years. We have stayed here 3 times in the last 24 months and no upgrades have been made.

Though pet friendly the fee for a pet stay is as much as a human. Rather abusive. $50 for each adult per night and 50 for our pet per night. All carpet needs to be removed and replaced with vinyl.

The cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved, there was also visible dust on the curtains, the mattress was super soft and there were no shades to darken the room, the lights from the parking lot in front of the hotel were lighten up our room the whole night, very unpleasant. Also it was extremely cold in the hallways. The whole hotel has seen better times and needs some serious renovations
