How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The second floor room isn’t dark enough to sleep at morning.

Verified reviewWe had a great stay-everything was clean, comfortable, and just as described. The location was perfect and check-in/check out was easy.
One small suggestion: a handle on the garbage drawer, isn’t easy to open as is, and extra garbage bags. Also, the remote for the fan on the bedroom was missing.
Thank you for staying and happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Will make note to add a handle to one of the cabinets, they were just out at the store at the time.

Dirty Pool :( One Toilet Paper Roll per bathroom, ridiculous. One 6 inch Trash Bag in the kitchen, beyond ridiculous! No staff on premises to help with anything. Did NOT answer a simple text message till 14 hours later :(
This is a privately owned vacation rental, not a hotel. There is no staff. There are two full size garbage bins in the kitchen in a bottom cabinet... Correct, you will not receive any response to "where can we see the fireworks?" at 9PM on July 4th.

Verified reviewExcellent stay! We were impressed by the quality of everything they had in the apartment. In special the mattress. We slept really well, the place was peaceful and quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. We bike for 2 minutes were at the beach. Bikes are free. If you want to go to other places the trolly passes by right in front of the property and it is free.

Verified reviewThe location was convenient, and the place was clean and stocked with all the basic essentials. The deck was a great bonus—really nice for relaxing. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, which I appreciated. The kitchen is well-stocked with both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker, so bring your favorite coffee, plus your own sugar and creamer. If you're particular about cleanliness, you might want to bring your own paper towels and liquid hand soap for the bathroom. The provided towels were large but felt more like beach towels, so consider bringing your own if you're picky about that. Dish soap and a sponge were provided, but don’t forget to bring extra trash bags as the owners recommend.
The place was generally clean and functional, but the workmanship in the interior left a lot to be desired. There were several visible issues—such as poorly finished trim, misaligned fixtures, and patchy repairs—that gave the space a rushed or unprofessional feel. It didn’t affect my stay comfort-wise, but it definitely stood out visually. A bit more attention to detail from whoever did the renovations would go a long way. A few other downsides: the shower took quite a while to heat up. Pack some patience with your shampoo ;) There were no TVs in the bedrooms, which some guests might expect. A tablet or laptop is a good idea if you like winding down in the bedroom. Also, there was a noticeable gap under the front door—didn’t cause any issues during my stay, but worth mentioning for comfort and energy efficiency.

Verified reviewThis place is really rude. I couldn't get inside the unit and called them but the man on the phone was so rude. When we finally got the door open, the unit still have people staying inside. I was so scare because I don't know if the people inside will do something bad to us for getting inside while they are still there. So bad experience and will not recommend this place.

Verified reviewThe property is clean, has all the amenities for you to stay a weekend or longer. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook. Comfortable chairs, lots of closet space, outdoor furniture to enjoy the evening outside, easy to park. It is also a close distance to commerce in case you forgot anything with lots of different restaurants and bars nearby. A great place to spend time with your family and friends. The only amenity needed to make everything perfect, a plus for sure, would be a dishwasher in the kitchen. But it will not make your stay less pleasant by not having one at all.

The only downside we’ve found is that we forgot to bring our own trash bags & toilet paper & the place doesn’t come with extra.
