How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It’s fine
Lowest price you are going to find in a great location on town - no frills, but it’s the location, and I’m there doing an art show- not a vacation - good parking is also key

I don't know of anything, we had everything we needed, maybe having coffee or tea on sight in the morning, but just walked and got it. Also a hairdryer in the room.

For the very reasonable rate (for RB during the high season), it met all of my expectations.
The motel location is ideal, about two blocks from the boardwalk (down a lovely residential street) and a quick walk to many great places to eat and shop. The staff were excellent: friendly, accommodating, and responsive. There is a fridge and cable TV in the room, AMPLE parking, the AC and WiFi were strong, and the room size, more than adequate. The facility, which could use some major updating and cosmetic repairs, offers only meagre amenities (e.g. ice machine): no elevator, pool, vending or coffee machines on site. (All of these are made clear in the Booking.com site page.) But honestly, because of the location (so close to everything you could want/need) and reasonable room rate, it's a very good value.

The lock was a little questionable but nobody tried to test out its strength lol
The staff was very polite and friendly. When my key didn’t work, the man at the office immediately gave me another one. The room was big, clean and had everything in it. Peking was included which made the beach experience cheap and special.

The wi-fi was extremely weak, and barely stayed connected. This was problematic for me as I am one of the last people on Earth who doesn't have an unlimited data plan for my phone. The shoddy wi-fi won't likely be a problem for the majority of folks, though.
The staff is always so nice! Love the "old school charm," from the permanent hangers down to the metal room key. The room was clean and the parking is FREE! The location is a super short (safe) walk from the boardwalk and beachfront (mere blocks). There's not much in the way of amenities, but who comes to Rehoboth Beach to hang out in the motel room all day?!? I just want a place to crash in the evenings, and a place to hold my stuff during the day, and this place delivers every time.

No elevator and we were on 3rd floor. My fault. Didn’t ask when booking. Fridge wasn’t plugged in, and had no controls. Froze our drinks overnight. AC wasn’t turned on when we checked in, was over 90 degrees out, so took a while to cool off.

I stayed at High Seas for years. The location is amazing and the value can’t be beat. I bring my own single cup coffee maker and towels. Small price to pay for excellent location and price. Family run and friendly.

The only thing I didn't like had nothing to do with High Seas. The last night we were in Rehoboth, my son and I were on our bikes on the way back from the beach to the hotel, just around the corner, when an overzealous bicycle cop gave us a $56 ticket in circumstances in which almost nobody anywhere in America would have received a ticket. A warning would have been more than sufficient. The experience ruined our last night there, poisoned the end of our trip, and went a long way toward destroying my desire to return. I had intended to ask at the desk when checking out the next morning about availability at the end of the summer, but I may not return to Rehoboth at all.
The location was excellent and the place clean and comfortable.

A bit dated, a coffee maker would be an inexpensive upgrade would be a simple coffee maker in the room. A friend thought the downstairs rooms smelled a little mildewed.

Carpet was really really old, the type that can’t be cleaned much anymore, just needs to be changed but it was my fault to not bring home slippers. We went there off season and didn’t have many neighbors which was great, very quiet. If we went there during the summer I’d choose a room that doesn’t have a balcony and has inside entrance because smoking was allowed on balconies and they’re all adjacent to one another, like a balcony hallway. If anyone smoked near our room I’d ask to move but we didn’t experience any smokers nearby.
Location is great. Very close to the beach. The front desk people were super friendly and helpful.
