Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWindows aren’t very soundproof so be weary with lower level rooms. We were on level 9 and could hear a lot of road noise and people talking/yelling in the middle of the night. Also be weary when booking standard double rooms as the back onto the elevator shaft which is incredibly noisy and you can hear the elevator constantly.
The location was pretty central, only 20 minute walk to main areas ie fisherman’s wharf, Alcatraz tours, union square. Facilities were amazing gym was very good. Originally was placed in a room that backed into the elevator which was incredibly noisy, I asked staff if it was possible to be moved and they immediately gave us a new room further away we were very impressed with the service.

AustraliaThe shower heads are terrible. One of our showers didn’t work. When we reported it the reception staff member was passive aggressive and surly. He then sent maintenance guy up to fix the shower we reported at 1145pm!
Good location.

Australia1) Sad about the location, being my first time to US and to downtown SF I thought staying at Chinatown area would have been a safe option to get good food and restaurants or convenience store, but boy was I wrong, everything shut early and no convenience stores in the close vicinity after 8pm, not many restaurants in Chinatown were open either. So no this is not Hilton’s fault but the location is definitely a let down these days 2) Bathroom is a bit small 3) No free breakfast 4) Carpet on hallway makes pushing bags a challenge
1) Got an excellent view from my room, the window goes all the way across the wall, overlooking the Coit Tower 2) The staff who checked me in was excellent, great experience 3) Bed was nice 4) Wifi was good

United States of AmericaThe quality of tissue and toilet paper in the rooms is below average. I wish the hotel resturant offered more options. One day they were not ready for customers at 6:30 which had us run a little behind schedule for our first appointment.
The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the resturant offered good food. The location is great!!

The location was great for our weekend plans. Further, the convenance of breakfast at the facility was a plus. The wait staff in the restaurant were fantastic!

United KingdomI would have liked a pool. That is me being super picky and the fact that there wasn't one did not impact my trip at all.
Excellent location, close to North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf. If you don't want to walk, the number 8 bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you to Fisherman's Wharf (add Clipper to your Apple/Google wallet first) Room was cleaned every day. Bar was nice after a busy day.

United States of AmericaThere are no good options for dining near by, requires a long walk, driving out, or Uber. Walls very thin, can hear next door conversation. Front desk not friendly, not happy switching rooms for me, which I get, but still, if you're gonna do it, be nice about it. Very old building. Outside the hotel feel very old and dingy, was not happy when first spotted the hotel in person. I don't think I will stay again here for many different reasons.
Parking is available at the hotel (relatively more affordable compared to other hotels) that is connected to the hotel, ease of driving in and out. One of the reasons why i chose this hotel. 24-hour security is available at the parking lot (supposedly). Complained about the room, front desk able to accommodate room switch. I'm very happy about that. The location was good, close enough for tourist spots. Bed was comfortable enough. Room size is the same as other hotels for 2 queen / 1 king, spacious enough. The refrigerator is available and a coffee maker.

United States of AmericaYour website kept dropping the dates, when I got there I found out it was booked for the night before we arrived. Had to pay for an additional night for a single night trip.
The location was perfect for what we had planned, very close to many good restaurants, walking distance from the warf. So easy to find it, just had to look for the Trans America building.
