The location was great and the cafe was great. The beds were really comfortable but I thought the cleanliness could have been better. There should be some rugs in the bathroom to make it more comfortable.

The bonfire with free s’mores is brilliant. The hiking trail a few doors down, from the town into the state park and redwoods, is serene.

We had a good stay at this motel. It was in a quiet location full of trees and greenery. The bed and pillows were decently comfortable. The place is slightly run-down and in need of renovation, but it was clean. Free parking is always great, and we felt safe during our stay there. It was an easy and straightforward check in and check out process. It was overall good value for money. It is a good place for a stop over for a good night’s rest. Will recommend.

The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. The location to Jedidiah Smith is great and the surrounding areas were easy to explore from there. The Cafe next door had good breakfast. Would stay here again.

The turntable in the microwave didn't work, so we had to turn the food ourselves every 10 seconds, so that it didn't start burning on one side while remaining cold on the other side. The walls and the floor are extremely thin, so we could hear very clearly what was going on around us. And when in the middle of the night a family checked into a room above us, we've been listening to all the noise they made until they went to sleep. After that, footsteps and voices were replaced with loud snoring. Also, the laundry detergent they use has VERY strong chemical smell. It got stuck to our clothing, so I still feel it a day after we left.

The mattress wasn't too soft and some of the pillows weren't too thick, so our backs and necks weren't hurting by the morning. At night it was much warmer than we anticipated: they've turned on some kind of heating during the night (I guess, it was floor heating). The combination of a shower handset and a ceiling-mounted IR heater in the bathroom made showering very pleasant. In our room there were wall outlets on both sides of the bed, so we didn't have to invent anything to charge both of our phones overnight. The internet connection was pretty fast, especially if you connect to their 5GHz WiFi.

The bed creaked loudly every time we turned over. They don't have many plug ins for charging phones, laptop, etc. Had to move the side tables to access an outlet. Not much water pressure or hot water in the shower. The room heater was very loud when it kicked on at night.

Cute little secluded spot. Not much road noise can be heard even though it is right off the highway. They are pet friendly with grassy areas all around to walk the doggo. They have a cute little firepit area to use in the front. They are adjacent to a nice restaurant that is open breakfast and lunch and across from a mini-mart that has a large selection of goods. The room was clean and felt safe.

Not much could have been better. Well a hot tub is always great, but this is a small motel and it wouldn't really fit in. Maybe a couple simple breakfast things for folks that don't want to go to the diner, but I think they're just two small businesses trying to support each other in a small town. Not much to improve TBH.

Great stay here. Easy check-in. Added our dog for $20 when we checked in at front desk, no problem. Staff were very friendly. No breakfast included, hotel guests get 10% at the diner next door, we ate there and it was very nice!

Conveniently located off the main road made for some traffic noise during the night. Also, noise from other rooms. Nothing ridiculous though. We stayed first week in October, so during peak tourist season it might be a bit noisier. Over all for the location it was great though.

The staff was very nice, friendly. There was a cute little fire pit with comfy camping chairs around it and a s’more making kit. The grounds were cute and cared for. Very convenient off the main road, next door to a cafe that offered great breakfast and a gas station/ well stocked convenience store across the street. The Room was very clean.

I wish we would have known ahead of time that the cafe is only open wkend evenings... ended up getting microwave noodles at the little market across the street for dinner lol Would be super if there was an actual hiking trail by it as well, but it was fun anyways :)

We originally booked because it said there was a trail that started right by it, and a cafe that also serves drinks. Turns out, the "trail" was only .8 miles long and the cafe is only open for dinner on the weekend. They have a cute little firepit outside tho, and the dogs were very happy with the big grassy area. Cute little place to rest our heads for the evening. ;)

I absolutely loved my stay at this motel - it’s in a dream location and was incredible value for money. The staff were great and helped us make the most of our short stay by guiding us through the best walking routes. We finished off our day drinking beer by the fire pit.
