Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaBreakfast was chaotic. The space is crowded, and there is no clear way to organize yourself/line up, etc.
The location was convenient for getting in and out of the city. Parking was easy and the staff was very friendly.

NetherlandsIn the room where the reception is, is also the room where you have breakfast. In the morning it wasn’t always possible to sit because there were too many people. Also there was no privacy for the people to ask a question at the reception. Everyone could overhear you what also happened when a customer came with a complaint.
The hotel is very good for NY. The bed slept well and the room was very nice. The reception was available 24/7 and was very helpful.

EstoniaBreakfast was a bit tricky. There weren’t enough tables for the guests, so you had to wait in line to get a table or a seat. Also the pancake machine was broken in the last days of our stay.
Close proximity to PATH, light rail, busses to NY and also to a mall. Everything was near and the staff was super helpful.

FranceThe breakfast area (in front of reception) is tiny - and not easy to find seats for a family around 9am (peak hour, I suppose?). It is asked by management not to stay there longer than 25 mins, but not sure if that is respected. As the hotel seems to be used mostly by families, tourists and not by business travallers, they should maybe adapt / extend the breakfast hours (currently until 9h30) or simply get more seats & tables during this time. The airco in the room is very loud when it works, we managed to find a way to switch it off, but not obvious how to regulate it. As the hotel is located in Jersey City, the flat airport fee of Manhattan taxis does not apply - and the Holland Tunnel to go towards Manhattan costs 18$ (to come here from Manhattan, it is free). Uber is still available though. (If you fly from JFK, you need to count 1.5-2 hours to get to the airport from here by car.)
Great value for money, 5-10 mins walk to a big shopping center with restaurants (and you have some fast food even closer) , big Target supermarket, PATH station that takes 15 mins to get to the center of Manhattan. The receptionists (Roxanne, Oksana) were really kind and helpful. The room was functional, modern, in new state, correctly equipped, clean, spacious enough - it could easily accomodate our family of 5 incl a toddler. There is even a gym and a laundry room for guests in the hotel. If you come by car, parking is possible but you need to pay. However, it is possible to stop in their parking for the time of checking-in / out for free. Overall a great family place to stay when visiting NYC.

United States of AmericaPull out mattress was thin (to be expected). Breakfast seating was minimal (but staff let us know to anticipate this when we checked in night before).
Appreciated the flooring in the rooms—no carpet is a win for us due to cleanliness factor. Facility was very clean and staff was very accommodating. Appreciated available laundry.

United States of AmericaTHE HOT WATER! The sink and shower's hot water took too long to warm-up to a comfortable level. A night light installed in the bathroom would have made the 4:00am run to the bathroom less intrusive. We had to use the overheard and sink lights.

BelgiumThe only comment I have about our stay was the quality of the flip out bed/sofa. The mattress was really bad quality, really thin and I could feel the bed's springs underneath. Luckily, I'm a good sleeper - but I did feel like I had to sacrifice myself for my friends so they could sleep in the comfortable beds. So that would be the only thing I think they can improve on.
Our stay was wonderful. Great location. Great value for money. Connection with New York city was amazing, using the Hoboken Path train. Staff was helpful and nice. We were allowed to leave our luggage after checking out so we could enjoy our last day in NY. So overall amazing experience and very happy I found this place.

CanadaThe hotel is located along a very busy avenue (exit of Holland Tunnel), so ask for a room facing the opposite side if you don't want to hear the traffic all night long. Also, the breakfast is poor in choices and the dinner room is really too small to welcome hotel guests in the morning (We usually waited 10-15 minutes each morning to have a table).
The price is really cheaper compare to Manhattan hotels. The rooms are rather large for a standard hotel, which was convenient for our family of 4. The hotel is located nearby amenities (mall, train) so it's quite convenient to reach downtown from this point.

United States of AmericaWe had no hot water in the bathroom either morning when trying to take a shower and the hotel wasn’t even full. They need to invest in larger hot water tanks that can handle the number of rooms and people that stay. Coffee maker in room barely worked or have all day coffee service in the lobby. Staff offered to move us but we chose to stay in the room as we would have had to pack everything up and we were ready to head to NYC to go seeing. Also offered to provide another coffee maker but we ended up fighting with ours.

CanadaThe ladies at front desk are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good, I even don’t need to have a lunch. Location is very good, easy to go to the PATH station to NY. Our room is big but I am not sure whether it is enough to 42m*m, and the view is quite good.
