How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Like every other Holiday Inn on the planet, the pancake machine was broken.
The beds were comfortable and the AC in the room worked.

We booked this hotel because of the pool. We didn't find out it was closed until after we checked in. The kids were disappointed and upset.

I didn’t really like the breakfast but the turkey sausages made my stomach hurt and the pancake machine made little pancakes everything else was great except apple juice how can apple juice taste flat?
the location was great not far from stores, the staff were friendly and helpful, gym was clean and work effectively, elevator was clean, housekeeping did a great job, and room was comfortable and spacey

I didn't see a light at night for the pool.
When they came to clean our room they forgot to give us a new tissue box. It was out, other then that it was great!

Elevator was painfully slow. Building was clean and tidy. However, cheaply made, I could hear almost every step the people above me made!
Staff was excellent. Breakfast was better than I thought it would be.

They had a power outage earlier that day so the light outside the property were not working. The parking lot was very dark. A lot of guests were inquiring on the parking lot being dark. The desk clerk seemed overwhelmed by the guests asking so she seemed to be short with the guests. She was not very friendly.
Location close to where we were going. Beds were super comfy.

The matress needed to be replaced. I wanted to sign up for your member service but I asked too late and couldn’t get credit for my stay. The woman tried to help me but wasn’t sure if it would go through. As of yet I haven’t been notified. Seems like you missed an opportunity for repeat customer.
I appreciated the toothpaste as I forgot mine. Breakfast-Loved the small apples. Would have enjoyed more healthy less processed options. The coffee was great. The gentleman who was cleaning the facility (I wish I had his name was very good. He was so gracious and took pride in his work.

The wifi was terrible. The shower was pretty small (wheelchair accessible room) and water splashed around quite a bit. I think better shower curtains can be installed to prevent the splashing of water.
The hotel looked and felt new. It looked clean and the staff who checked us in (Melissa) was excellent and very welcoming. The staff who checked us out, cant remember his name was also excellent. When we checked in, it seemed like there was a stain on one of the comforters, wasnt sure if it was from the iron or something that was placed on the comforter but Melissa changed the comforter with lightening speed and offered to switch our room.

for a new hotel it was bad design. 8’ ceilings and no sound proofing. had to go to the front desk and complain about noise from upstairs at 3 in the afternoon. no managers on duty. new clerk was clueless. the next morning during a fire alarm she could not even help the firefighters get people out of the elevator, didn’t know where the keys were. so unprofessional it was unnerving.
