Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesWas decent, nothing to complain about specifically. Lifts - but luckily, we weren't much higher up. If you open up the sofa bed, not much space left in the room. The AC noise felt loud but we were tired from a full day of walking everyday so slept well.
Breakfast was basic and very crowded during rush hour - the lifts were an issue during rush hour in the morning for breakfast. But we were on 18th floor so getting down thru stairs was ok. Location was fantastic - right in the middle of times square. Yet the hotel was peaceful. We had a package delivered that got delayed but the front desk helped us and was collected a week after we checked out so that was great service by them.

United StatesNot knowing how elevators work at first caused confusion and gave us a bad experience in the first use. The hallway needs more air, maybe A/C, it was a problem when elevators took a while to come in busy hours.
Location is great. Staff was kind and responsive. Breakfast was wonderful extra. Coffee, tea, and ice available 24/7 was nice. The room is small but it is ok for the price and location.

IndonesiaThe furniture arrangement and the weird big table inside made it difficult for us to open our suitcases. The sofa bed can not be opened and not being arranged by them. But it became a good thing, otherwise we don't have a space to open suitcases at all. The lift is super duper long during morning time. I took stairs everyday to go down. The free breakfast is quite disappointing. And also took a long time to get a seat. The price is super duper expensive compare to the facilities, but maybe they charged for the location. The area of the streets have a lot of people smoking weed everywhere. They also charged $100 per day for deposit. 7 nights means charged for $700. Isn't it a bit too much? And the staff that I talked to, to confirmed that it's gonna be credited back, didn't want to write anything or give me any receipts about the guarantee deposit.
Have a little kitchen, big fridge, microwave, Quite close to broadways.

United StatesThe bed and sofa bed was horribly uncomfortable. I have stayed at other home2 suites in the past and they were much better. Also the rooms were much smaller than other home2 suites I’ve stayed in.
Great location

AustraliaThe third bed in the room was very uncomfortable (sofa bed). Those need to be replaced if 3 adults are sleeping in one room, they are old and back was hurting after a couple of nights. You need a proper mattresses for that. Paying a ton of money just to get bad back ache is simply not acceptable. Breakfast is modest, it’s made to fill you up, mainly eggs and potatoes don’t expect anything big and luxurious. More options would be great: cheese, veggies, salads, different meat types etc etc Lifts are a joke - stopping at every floor even if they are full, they need to fix the weight sensors. I once had to wait 30 mins to go down.
Perfect location, staff is nice, place is clean

Costa RicaThe elevator system is insufficient for the number of guests; during our 5-day stay, we almost always had to wait up to 30 minutes to go down.
The staff is very friendly, the rooms are just like in the photos, and the location is excellent—close to the subway and just steps from Times Square. Despite being in the center, it is very quiet. The buffet staff was incredibly kind.

United KingdomThe dining area for breakfast was far too small and overloaded every morning. Guests were having to eat standing in the aisles. The downstairs area was half taken up with laundry bins. Many guests didn’t even know there were food choices downstairs. In addition, the lift system is a nightmare. So many guests were giving up waiting for lifts, and when they did arrive they were full. So many people were taking to the stairs. It was bordering dangerous. Staff were taking pity on guests at times and taking over one of the lifts to get guests to where they need to be.
Location was really good. Room were a little small, but we’re well stocked and comfortable. Food choice at breakfast was good, and varied each day.
