How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewHome2Suites truly is 'home away from home' ! It has a pivotal location, proximal to Queens Plaza North (E-line) and the 39 Avenue (N, W lines) stations. Thus there is an excellent connectivity with Manhattan, the Business District, and of course the world-famous Time Square with its iconic non-stop "action" ! From some rooms, one is still able to catch substantial Manhattan view, esp. the gracious Empire State Building inclusive--- and the Ed Koch Queensboro bridge; despite lots of intervening buildings having come up recently ! The Staff at the Hotel is caring, helpful, giving important pointers on the neighborhood, modest, and cooperative. Mention must be made of Mr. Enzo and ALL his colleagues. They trouble-shoot your problems, assuring you of a comfortable and an impediment-free stay. The room is spectacular---spacious, has a large bed, kitchen, a large fridge, a huge microwave, a dish-washer, various utensils, a Kitchen roll, and a variety of hot beverage-mixes. The bath-room is clean, with lots of linen available. There are eateries, restaurants, convenience stores, clean, well-maintained public Laundromats on the Crescent Street, the famous Pizza joint on the 40th Avenue...Raj's Kitchen for Indian food...a lot to choose from even for a staunch vegetarian like me ! The Continental breakfast has a diverse set of choices. It is well-arranges, timely, and sumptuous and energetic, for the day to start with. Housekeeping staff is not grim, but greets you and is always helpful ! To sum up, Home2Suites is an exquisite hotel ! There is a cherry on the top---the moment you enter room, a welcome message flashes on the TV ! Home2 cares. Home2Suites---Please keep up the Good Work !!!
Everything is OK---just one suggestion: please keep some vegetarian options in the superb breakfast served !

Verified reviewRooms are excellent. Good service and excellent house keeping. Allowed early check-in at 11 am for one of our rooms. They also allowed us to eat our food in the breakfast area while we waited. Breakfast is overall good. Great location 3 min from Subway station. Staff received delivered food and set them aside labeled. Sink was clogged in kitchen and bathroom which was declogged promptly. We misplaced the room keys inside the room and the manager generated a new key for us at no extra cost. Finally we did not expect the room to have a kitchenette with utensils and dishwasher, fully stocked including paper towels and dish washing liquid. On asking they also gave us additional pans with a portable cooktop at no extra cost.
Breakfast- potato wedges were finished 30 min prior to closing time. Staff would not refill those despite asking. This happened on two mornings.

Verified reviewVery clean and comfortable. Also, a great location that's close to the subway (6 stops from Times Square) and 12 min cab ride to La Guardia. There's a gastropub 1 minute walk from the hotel that has really good food!
Emily was great, but the other staff could've been a little friendlier.

Verified reviewThe rooms were large for a hotel so close to the city. Very well appointed. The staff are very friendly. We were given water bottles upon check in. When our kids accidentally locked themselves out of their room, the person on staff at 12am went out of his way to be helpful. And he refused a tip. Very good location, so close to the city and easy access to other locations in Queens.
The mattress was wobbly but not uncomfortable.

Verified reviewBreakfast, value for money, location, kitchenette. The neighbourhood feels pretty safe and the public transport is convenient and close (3 - 10 minutes from the property)
The room lacked some kitchen stuff like tabletop cooker which was listed in the pictures - it’s available upon request. The AC is rather loud and ‘blends in well’ with the rest NY noise.

Verified reviewLocation
I booked a room through Booking.com and prepaid it. However, after I checked out, I noticed that the hotel also charged me directly.I contacted them by email on July 9th, and they admitted it was their mistake. They promised I would receive a refund within 3 to 5 business days. As of today (July 14th), I still haven’t received the refund. In addition, I requested that they cover the credit card transaction fees and the exchange rate loss caused by the delay, but they have not responded to this part of my request. This situation is frustrating and disappointing. If this is not resolved promptly, I will take any necessary steps to protect my rights

Verified reviewVery nice breakfast. Room was nice, comfortable and clean. Same for the bathroom that works fine. Close from a subway station to the center of manhattan
Just one person of the staff wasn’t nice and helpful but all the other persons working there was very nice. And helpful. When you ask how long the washing machine works, the answer is not “like every washing machine”. Just for you know it is very different depending on the country 😉

Verified reviewThe Hotel Staff was kind and very helpful. I liked the kitchenette that we had in our room, full with all the kitchen items you would ever need, and more. I really appreciated the cleanliness of our room. Housekeeping staff do a phenomenal job.
The room was a bit smaller than what I had thought from what was advertised, but other than that, it was a nice hotel, I would stay here again if I'm ever in Long Island City again.
