How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Office people were awesome. The property is older but they are making upgrades and our little room was nice!

There is nothing to dislike, especially for the price.
The kitchen was nice sized. There is a small two burner stove. The refrigerator is better than most hotels. There is plenty of room to put groceries away. The table and chairs were a good addition. On-site laundry was a plus. The Waffle House and the I10 Diner are very close.

The rates were great. Very clean studios. Exactly as shown in photos. Lots of outside lighting and cameras for security.

There was nothing about my stay that I would have changed. Everybody I interacted with were professional and helpful. The location was convenient and I will be staying again. I only wish that I had brought friends to share my experience with!
Both of the front desk employees that I talked to were incredibly helpful. They made sure that the price I paid was accurate, and confirmed that what I had been told about my stay was true. The room exceeded my expectations and I will be staying at HomeTowne Studios again.

Towels were a little skimpy, but adequate. Room had a strong cleaner smell. Lights outside room were so bright that it came in through the closed blinds.
The location was very convenient for what we needed. The room was clean. Beds were comfortable enough. A bonus was having the second room with a kitchen and table.

We ended up with one bead and had to have a second room.

The bathtub was not level and had standing water. The floors were sticky, and after walking around for a bit, my feet were a black underneath. There was hair on the sheets. And when someone would walk outside on the second floor, the entire second floor would shake.
The price was great.

There’s nothing really to complain about I travel for work and they have a good rate for what they offer I’ve already booked my next stay

The bugs in my bed like 6 the fact that it smelled like pee as soon as we walked in,and the fact that we lost power from 4 am till nearly 9 am and no one came to check or inform us on anything

It has a dusty exterior, but don't let that turn you away, the room was great!
The room was very clean and comfortable and looks just like the photos! It is very spacious and includes a fridge, sink, and table for two. Each side table has a lamp and it's respective outlets (mine included a C type outlet which was a huge plus!) It is in a great location, just off the highway but far enough for it be quiet and pleasant at night. There are outside lights on at night but personally helped me feel safer because otherwise it is quite dark out. It is also a short drive to gas stations and a few food options. Staff was kind and there is an ice maker at reception.

It was just dirty, the outside room doors were dirty and covered in dead and live spiders. The room was somewhat clean but the amount of Spiders in the room was very concerning. Our key card didn’t work and we had to have it replaced 3 times. When we finally got in the room the ac was broken. It was replaced within 30 minutes and then worked very well after that. The outside of the new ac unit was covered in spider egg sacks. Then at 3 in the morning the smoke detectors started to beep every couple of minutes. I did tell the front desk when leaving of the issues we had throughout the night.
The staff was very nice even when my fiancé was not so nice to him, and he fixed the issues we had right away. For the most part anyways. My complaints are not the staff they were great!

Smell of room wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. Swimming pool was cemented in. Not recommended for families with kids who loved to swim. No breakfast. Floors were nylon throughout and no rugs.
Size of room great. Not bad overall for the price. Quite and off the road.

The water comes from an underground well it came up yellow and you could tell there was sand as soon as you turn the shower on. I was told to let it run fir some time.
