United States of AmericaA hot tub? The hotel was amazing. Nothing to improve for such a great price. Maybe just keeping a more well trained staff for checkin. Everyone is struggling with staffing lately, though.
We loved everything about our stay in Charlottesville! Most notably, the lady taking care of the breakfast service was outstandingly caring. She took the time to talk with guests and went the extra mile to take plates and clear tables. We were absolutely the most relaxed on our trip in the Homewood Suites. Everything was as intuitive and cozy as could be.

It would be nice to make a bigger area with a garden out front so folks could enjoy the outdoors in the sun in the late afternoon. They do have an area with seating it just is very small and can only accommodate four to five persons
Loved the staff! All go out of their way to make you comfortable. Tim and Virginia in food service were exceptional. My brother has cancer and is staying there. They both were so sweet to make sure our needs were met , kindness and compassion helping others. The staff at this hotel are engaged and very helpful with the needs of the clients. The amenities are great. Outside fireplace is terrific, the seating area in the back is large and spacious with lots of seating! A great area to sit and enjoy peaceful. Hotel has a large heated pool and spa.

United States of Americadouble charged. Horrible customer service. The receptionist mistakenly charged me for our booking a second time. Upon check in she mentioned that my card was needed to be kept on file for any damages. I agreed then she continued with checking up in. She let me know to swipe my card so I did without question. Once I looked to read the scanner I saw I was being charged and additional $700 usd. I immediately pulled my card out but the transaction had already been authorized. I told Elieen (the receptionist) of the mistake and she immediately started to raise her voice stating that it was necessary. I let her know I understood that but I’m no case should I be charged again for booking since it was paid in full through booking.com. She went on to say that booking.com never sends the files over and must have messed something up because I had not in fact paid. I let Eileen know that I had paid and that there must have been a mistake. I asked when this authorization would be canceled due to the double payment. Thankfully her coworker was there to help her void out the authorization (hopefully). I did not enjoy being almost yelled at on the case of her mistake. I as most people was just concerned that a hold of my funds would have gone into effect due to her mistake. The coworker of Eileen’s must be used to her personality because she just shook her head as she raged on about how I was incorrect. Once she realized she had made a mistake she never apologized nor spoke to us. She just completed the check in and sent us on our way. In the end it put a sour taste in our mouths.

United States of AmericaWe loved all that Homewood Suites by Hilton -Charlottesville had to offer! The pool, and hot tub were a hit with all of us. I enjoyed working out in the fitness room which was exceptionally clean. There was a half court basketball my boys enjoyed playing on. You don't even need to bring a ball they provide them at the front desk! We really enjoyed the patio area outside and used their grilling area to cook out one night! We loved the atmosphere in general because it drew you together with other hotel guests. The free breakfast in the morning was a bonus! I think a double bonus is their Wednesday social! The room was a hit for us as well. There was ample space for my family of 6. The boys slept well, and so did I! We loved being within walking distance to Whole Foods, and stopped off at Kroger for our grilling night. The staff was very hospitable, and we never had any issues with the kids. We really felt welcomed and everyone was very friendly, and accomadating. We definitely plan on coming back!
