It was dirty. Floors furniture room smelled like dog. My official room was not ready so bad for the price. Others have been stellar!! Will not stay again and will tell people not to stay here!!! Overall appearance nasty/dirty!!!

The staff was more than accommodating especially the front desk staff. But even the housekeeping services that I would see in the hallways would be very helpful.

We had a problem in our room that we didn't discover until after 11pm. The hotel had our problem resolved within 15 minutes. That is about the only thing that I believe that I can say exceeded our practical expectations.

United States of AmericaWhen I checked into my room my sheets in the bags and the blanket (for the fold out bed) were disgusting. Had hair on them and the pillow had mold spots. The bed sheets on the beds themselves and the pillow cases too had hairs all over them. I took the bags to the front desk let them know about everything. I did get new sheets (which had some hair on them as well but i was already "whatever" at that point). I was given one blanket. My children brought a couple of their own blankets which was good bc otherwise they woyld have has only sheets. I was offered another room but with having children and alot of stuff with us for the weekend I declined (plus I didn't want to have to possibly be exposed to another incident where hair and molded items were again in a room) The room we stayed in could have had better detailed cleaning, especially for the price charged. Also, the bedding could have definitely been more clean and better blankets available. We stayed at Staybridge Suites a couple years ago and we will certainly be going back there from now on. And, on Sunday as my kids and I walked past the front desk..they (my kids) all suited up ready to swim..noone at the front desk bothered to share with us that the pool area was closed for cleaning. We had to find out as we approached the door and seen the sign.
I liked that the hotel had a full breakfast, the staff on Saturday morning were absolutely wonderful! My kids enjoyed getting free decaf coffee all day and the pool/hot tub.

United States of AmericaHousekeeping was not provided by default. Instead they ask you to ask for it the night before. Breakfast was very basic and the ingredients didn't taste very fresh. The kitchen floor was a bit sticky when we first arrived.
The housekeeping staff and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and kind. They offered two bottles of water per guest each day. There are many restaurants and groceries stores nearby. It's quite easy to get to the university from there.

There was a coffee spill near the elevator which was not cleaned for more than 2 days. Maintenance was not good (in room and common areas). One of the elevator was broken for 6 days we were there. We have stayed at other Homewood suites and the experience at this one was not like others.

The breakfast and the service was exceptional. The trim was also very aesthetically pleasing. Overall it was very quiet, especially for a busy break like Thanksgiving. We would likely stay at this location again.

We set up a time for service which was twice a week but we had to keep asking for towels and wife asked for a vacuum more than once from the maid so she could vacuum the floor herself. And also did that with cleaning the room as well. Housekeeping could have been much better but it may have been due to staff shortages also so need to hire more staff to meet the needs of the hotel.
The ability to have breakfast was great. Food wasn't spectacular but edible. Love the fact that coffee was always available. Rooms were a good size. Staff was friendly.

United States of AmericaThe sofa bed in living room was extremely uncomfortable (springs could be easily felt through thin cover) and I don’t see how anyone could reasonably sleep on it. We decided not to use it and placed the three kids into one bed instead. My only other observation is that there were a lot of cigarette butts outside on the terrace during breakfast (left from evening before) which as a non-smoker and parent of wandering littles find gross. This could have been cleaned up by staff before breakfast began.
We liked that it was two hours outside the DC airport cutting our drive time down the following day to North Carolina. There aren’t many chain hotels that offer one bedroom suites that contain two beds in the bedroom. This suited our larger family while allowing us the privacy we wanted in the morning to sit in the living room while kids slept. The breakfast staff were exceptionally friendly!!

Scraps of paper and pennies on floor in bathroom area, dishwasher was run but dishes and silverware for waiting for us to unload and room had a nasty odor. We called three times to have this remedied. We thought it was disposal. Someone gave us an orange from the front desk that didn’t work. Next day maintenance was there. Disposal no long smelled but room did. Called again. Was told housekeeping supervisor would come. Never showed up, no call no info. That evening we returned to a room that still smelled. Called front desk again and the front desk clerk was going to speak to manager to see what to do. Never heard back. At checkout I mentioned again to that clerk who talked to her manager and they issued me a slight/small discount. Thought it should have been handled better when we made them aware of the issue. There was no follow through, no follow up to let us know whether something was tried, done etc. Just kept coming back into a room with an odor I can only describe as a cross between cigarette smoke and sour milk.
Breakfast was great, breakfast staff was friendly and helpful, food was good, ample seating.
