To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United States of AmericaThe electrical outlets did not work in either bathroom. Also, in the hall bath the switch for the light over the toilet may have a short in it. The light would not turn on or off, but would flicker if you wiggled the switch back and forth. The light over the sink in the kitchen did not work. None of these were “problems”. Just reporting them for your info. Also, the counter top in the master bath is cracked.
The location and size of the condo were great. It was very spacious and well kept. Were surprised to find 3 full size sofa beds in the living room. There was plenty of room to sit or lounge while watching football on tv. Wonderful view of the lake from the back balcony. We arrived a little early, so we ran in to the cleaning crew, Robert and Cheryl. They were very nice. We went to get something to eat and got out of their way so they could finish.

United States of AmericaIt was very clean and well stocked with extra linen. It was located in a great area close to everything. Unfortunately we got a lot of rain during our stay but can't wait to go back again to experience more when not raining like the lake access from the property. Would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaThe tv in the living room did not work called host and told him, tried to get going for the first day and second day, then never heard from him after I told him it was not working still. so there was no watching tv in the living room. Seemed to me the host didn't care after first attempts. Should have a tv that you can just turn on and watch, password didn't work . have a tv that you can just turn on and go from there.
the place was nice, good views, easy access to activities.
