How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The front desk staff almost seemed anxious and very nosy about everyone’s business. Not just to be friendly, but overly interested in things. My car had an issue that I needed to have a friend come help me with in the parking lot and the staff came out and circled us in the parking lot—without saying anything at all— two or three times. It was very odd.

Verified reviewThe beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The lady that we checked in with was nice and friendly. The location was right off the road and in a good location for the lake and parks.
The hot water didn't always work. The eggs at breakfast were like egg oatmeal, the biscuits were like crumble cardboard. The price was awfully overpriced for the quality of the stay.

First room we had smelled of cigarette smoke although they had tried to clean it. Had to move to another room, which they did accommodate. Outdoor pool was out of order at the end of June! Indoor pool open but water was ice cold. Breakfast was average and same choices every day.

Verified reviewWe had no hot water for the first 2.5 days, staff seemed for nonchalant until I contacted booking.com. I don’t think they thought I was going to actually reach out to them for a partial refund. No understanding for why I would be VERY upset that there was no Hot water to shower. Also the outdoor pool was DISGUSTING. Manager said “oh they are fixing it today”. Great- bc that is the only reason we booked that specific hotel. Checked the next day, she confirmed it’s “good to go!” It was gross, wouldn’t let my kids get in it, and they swim in ponds at home. The indoor pool was so over- chlorinated, you could hardly stay for longer than 30 minutes. A simple test kit from Walmart could help manage chemical levels. Attached photos are from when manager stated pool was “good to go”.

I have been staying at this hotel on and off for many years. It is starting to need a few upgrades. Over all it is still a comfortable hotel, just needing some replacements on microwave, mini-fridges, desk chair, etc.

Indoor pool was cold, jacuzzi did not work. Outdoor pool was not working. The door-lock at room wasn’t reading the card well, took several tries.

This was a gift to my daughter for her 25th birthday. The hot tub was out of service, the outdoor pool was closed, the "heated" indoor pool was cold, and the whirlpool jets in the suite didn't work. I will be asking for a credit. I am highly disappointed and will not be using them in the future.
