Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This is my first time here in America, for work. I stay in this hotel for more than one month. The place is fantastic and they provide 5 stars service!

Bring back the continental breakfast.

The staff was surly and unhelpful. The room was decrepit. The toilet kept getting clogged. It is well located for Palo Alto and Stanford, but otherwise a classic cheap and dilapidated motel.

The rooms are outdated old carpet , and just and older look to them , the first room I was given the moment I walked in I noticed the floor hadn't been vacuumed. A cleaning rag was left on the inside of the door handles, the bed was made but upon walking closer noticed dead ants all over the bed under the pillows. I then went to the bathroom and the bath tub was also full of dead ants as well. The front desk attendant was friendly and immodestly switched rooms and the room was clean but in the middle of the night I heard the toilet begin to run I thought maybe someone upstairs the noise possibly was traveling . I woke up in the Morley to get ready for work and the toilet was completely overflowing and the bathroom floor was covered in water .

Cold weather necessitated use of the heater but the fan in the behemoth unit was so loud, it made hearing the television very difficult without having to turn it up so loud & upset your neighbors. Bathroom was cold/drafty. Had to ask for a roll of TP as roll ran out & no spare provided. Clerk on duty apologized for being short on housekeeping staff. LED lighting was not great in my opinion.
Location was reasonably close to where I needed to be for an appt. I felt reasonably safe there. Parking lot provided plenty of parking & was well-lit with security cameras visible. Bed was reasonably comfortable & sheets clean. Nice pillows. Extra blanket provided was 100% cotton. Towels were decent. Bathroom was newer. Bathtub actually held water!!! Simple coffee maker with Starbuck's coffee pods, insulated cups, microwave, refrigerator & complimentary waters were appreciated. Flat screen tv, table/chairs were comfortable & offered entertainment. Ironing board & iron made available in the room looked clean/neatly stored. Complex/area was mostly quiet. Ice was available & vending machine on-site. There was a pricey seafood restaurant right next door 🐟.

The smoke alarm's backup battery was low apparently, which resulted in a very loud beep waking us up in the middle of the night.

Go to the property and stay for a couple of nights. This “motel” should not be on your site. It’s a bad business view. I used a different booking service for our current stay.
Not much. We needed a place to sleep while i was at Stanford and that’s a it was.

I had a ROOM WITH A ROCKING FLOOR AND NO BREAKFAST WAS SERVED.IT WAS STATED ON HOUR WEVBSITE BREAKFAST set=rved. The lights was off in the room the next morning. The office personal was very impersonal.
