The shower pull-up lever didn't work. Plenty of water for the bath, but only drips from the shower head after good firm pulls of the shower lever.

I wish there had been an ice machine. I was traveling with a cooler with perishables and drinks to keep cold. But the gas station next door sells ice. It was a 10 lb. Bag which was too much. I got ice at the McDonald’s in junction. I didn’t like the guests who seemed to be staying long term and gathering outside their rooms at all hour’s smoking and talking. Could have done without the stray cats.

The location was what I would expect for the money. It’s a bargain place. The room was clean but dated. The family running the motel was friendly and helpful and clearly wanted the stay to be comfortable. Given the remote location, there was a seedy element that seemed to be staying there. Some stray cats around as well. But if you’re looking for a bargain, it’s value at the price. There is a relatively inexpensive gas station next door with restaurants attached and food options. It’s not opulent but it is a value and clean.

We arrived very early, still we could check in. The lights in the bathroom did not work but the guy at the motel fixed them in a moment. Hé éven helped us with the TV remote control.

Lights not working and when asked to get it fixed. The manager said why would you even want that light to work that we did not need that light to work that we had other lights that would work. We had one towel to share between three people. The toilet was stopped up. The water smells like a sewer. The maintenance man refused to fix it. There were bugs everywhere dead and alive. It was awful plain awful. The maintenance man said that if we let the toilet overflow again that it would be our fault and he would have cops forcefully remove us without our refund we had no choice but to stay in that rat hotel. If they would have been a little nicer and help repair some of the issues everything would have been okay but as it was we bought all evening and part of the night.

The guy working the front desk had no personality what so ever and when we were getting our things out of our car he stood 10 ft from our vehicle and watched the whole time. I think he.was making sure we didn't have any pets with us but made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

Straight out of a syfy movie. My arrival time did not help. Reservationist looked like he was sleepwalking. Given a room at the rear of the compound. Bugs I have never seen were everywhere. Ran from car to room, trying not to invite any of them in. Had to knock down a huge spider web just to get through the door. Only to learn, once inside, there were more bugs. Spent the first hour, killing as many as I could just to flip on the TV to learn it didn't work. Too late, too tired, and too far from anywhere else to safely drive away. I considered sleeping in my car but didn't want to go back outside. Slept with all the lights on, hoping it would keep the bugs away. On the plus side, the bed and pillows were comfortable. I really wish these roadside motels had random inspections. But I know I will NEVER stay at an OYO again. 8th

Was warned away as soon as I stopped for gas by an attendant, apparently this location extorts guests for extra fees not mentioned. It was very smelly, dirty and HOT. The T.V. didn't work and there were several bugs, both living and dead around the beds and other furniture. The smell was the worst, like old damp clothes and smoke.

Everybody agreed, including my wife and kids that the mattresses were the most uncomfortable ever, even cabin at Lake Corpus Cristy Texas state park was better. $15 inflatable air mattress from Walmart is much better. Take your own mattress or self inflatable sleeping pad.

The room was well renovated and clean.
