Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The door to our room was not very secure. (124)You needed to use quite a bit of force to get it to shut. When shut the handle was very shaky. We also had someone try to enter our room around 11pm. Unsure if they were given wrong room number or just lost but it was unsettling to see how insecure the door handle really seemed to be. Then at 2:37am I was woken up by music coming from next door that was so loud I could hear every single word. I tried to ignore it thinking it was maybe an accident or just something for a few minutes but after 20 minutes I called the front desk and reported. After another 15 minutes, I did hear the knock and announcement of front desk and the music went away for the rest of the night so I’m thankful for that.
Location. Perfect for ubering to several popular places. The cleanliness of the room itself. It smelled great when we walked in.

Dear lord the floor was nasty. We had black feet I had to go buy a pair of shoes just to Walk in the room. The room needs to be clean.

The parking is not great. The breakfast situation was disappointing

The night clerk was very rude and acted like he didn't want to be there. I also had to ask for a receipt and he acted like he didn't want to give me one. The door to our room was hard to close and there wasn't a top lock. The floor was sticky-like and wasn't cleaned properly. The satellite TV kept freezing so we couldn't really watch TV. We called maintenance in the morning to fix the TV, but he didn't arrive until later that evening to "fix" it, but it still kept freezing although there wasn't any bad weather. We won't be staying here again. This is a prime example of "you get what you pay for".
The price was ok and the location was great.

Tv didn't work. Took them 2hours before they came to fix it. Neighbors were loud. It was run down. No breakfast. Took 2days to get deposit back, which i dont know why they charged 100$ deposit in the first place.

I had burn marks on the bed spread in a non smoking room. the fact they charge you a $100 service charge in case something gets broken. They take the hold off after you check out and they have verified the room is ok

There was a giant hole in the wall of the run they gave us. Two different fights broke out and there were water bugs aka roaches in the bathroom around the tub and toilet

Lights by the bed did not work . Only 1 trash can that needs more. The tub seal I think needs to be resealed at the base. Door was hard to open and close. Needed more ashtrays 1 per room isn't enough. Wifi was poor .
I finally got a smoking room. Location was perfect area. Room was spacious. Heating and cooling was comfortable. .

What could have been better was if the walls were painted to be nice like the decor. It was a lot like lipstick on a pig. Also one can hear EVERYTHING from the surrounding rooms and parking area. It was so loud and disturbing I could not sleep.
