There was really nothing I didn't like except leaving!

I was nervous because my daughter and I booked the smallest room to save money. Turned out to be great and space was not an issue. It was sparkling clean, comfortable, and very attractive. The bathroom was very spacious. There was an upstairs and downstairs hotel balcony where you could have a drink or a bite to eat and they had spray misters to keep you cool. There was also a nice indoor bar area and a dining room. Parking was not a problem with a hotel lot and street parking. Staff was super friendly and helpful with questions. We were able to walk to everything in town.

Housekeeping need attention we stayed 2 nights and came back after a day out to find our room not only unlocked but not cleaned or refreshed with towels etc. Having said that the manager soon sorted it out promptly. A couple of small things could improve the room we were in, a bedside lamp and a small fridge. We still enjoyed our stay hear and would come back.

Staff very welcoming & friendly. Food was excellent and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in the bar. Room was quiet for a good night’s sleep 💤

Not all rooms have a mini fridge and none have a microwave. Those are both nice to have in your room for longer multi day stays.

The staff was very friendly, warm, and accommodating. When my room TV burned out they moved me to a better room right away at no extra charge.

The room and the price. I feel like the hotel took advantage of a wedding that was going on that weekend to drive the prices up.

I thought it was a nice hotel but way too expensive for what we got. We got a full size room which is the size of a small bedroom for $214. Way too expensive.

The lighting in the bathroom could have been better. It was too dark for applying makeup.

We like the old hotel charm. It’s nice to have a restaurant and bar there. The Copper Room speakeasy was fun too.

Staff is lovely, location is right in town and fun history. Restaurant has great food and the hotel cave bar is fun — and the only place open late night in town.

First night was rough (we got moved and it was quickly and kindly taken care of) as balcony was LOUD and AC didn’t work.

Beautiful and charming hotel in the most perfect location! Each room is unique with its own special touch. Food and drinks in the hotel restaurant were delicious and we loved the historic/chic ambiance. The town is absolutely adorable, like a hallmark movie with many great shops. We will definitely stay again!!

Full bed is advertised, so nothing wrong at all, however a couple would appreciate a queen bed in the small room. Then again, there is probably a queen option for an extra charge.

One needs to keep in mind that Hotel Sutter is very, very old. Rebuilt in 1867 after the original building burned down. It was a very fun place to stay and the employees were very helpful, going the extra mile for us to make sure we were well taken care of. The room, although small was quite comfortable with the air conditioning very quiet and working well. The hotel upgrades are nice and the newish elevator, although slow is in excellent condition. We were fortunate with parking for the three nights we were there to get parking right in front of the hotel. Two spaces on the street were available there and each night we were able to use one of them.

I grew up in Sutter Creek. My boyfriend and I stayed there prior to my son’s high school graduation. My boyfriend loved it because so many places to walk and see. We especially loved the balcony at night just to watch Main Street and have a cocktail! Thanks, Hotel Sutter!!

Newer pillows & bed as they were lumpy. Provide extra trash can in room. Add box of tissues in room. Not allowed to open windows. Not fan in bathroom.

You have to walk out the front door to go around to the back parking lot which doesnt have enough space for the whole hotel. We eventually had to park in the neighborhood. It wasnt a big deal for us but could be for some.

+The hotel lacks a basic breakfast at the included rate which is OK given that a wonderful cafe is across the street but it diminishes the value for money slightly +Room wasn't cleaned in between nights of the stay even though the person cleaning left an envelope asking for a tip. Towels were not even replaced. The corners of the rooms seemed a little dusty although the bed itself and bathrooms were sparkling clean. The ceiling fan was a bit challenging to turn off because you needed to stand on the bed to do it which could be dangerous for certain folks. +The door to the room would not lock properly and the first time I thought I locked it and came back and it did not lock- the bolt would feel like it had turned when you turned the key but it would not fully enter the bolt housing.

Location on Main street is phenomenal. Has a vibrant bar and across the street from great restaurants and cafes. Staff was friendly and check in process was pretty smooth. Parking was included.

They had a live band playing until really late at night. And you could hear it very loud and clear, as well as all the people in the restaurant and outside.

It’s very cute and unique. The town is a little touristy town with lots of shopping in boutiques

Long wait for hot water in shower. Conditioner and bath gel dispensers inoperable. Volume on tv but … taken care of.

Wonderful location for Sutter Theater. Very comfortable bed. Great bathroom. TV volume complaint addressed while I was out of the room. Thank you! Restaurant for breakfast was amazing!
