Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe odor. Room 149 smelled of stale smoke yet facility is non smoking. Wish all hotels would shampoo their carpets every once in awhile
The bed was comfortable. The staff accommodating when I requested to move. The fresh eggs for breakfast is awesome

United StatesThe rooms need a thorough cleaning to rid the carpets of their odor. Even though it’s a non smoking facility the rooms still keep the odor. I had to change rooms because the one (149) still had that lingering odor. Was happy I was given the opportunity to change.
Location is very convenient with shopping and a Starbucks within walking distance. Staff were friendly and accommodating Fresh eggs for breakfast…big plus

United StatesIt was weird getting to the second floor from the front of the hotel you either had to walk through the hotel and out the back or all the way to the end then back.
The room was nice and clean. The pool was very nice and small resort like. I didn't have breakfast but my family did and said it was good.

CyprusFeels old, even if may not be (all that much?) e.g. with carpeting. Socket at desk hard to reach. Crowded (not/barely enough space?) at breakfast, even seating-wise - very small area for such a large motel.
Laundry options. Decent pool. Very kind and helpful staff. Fridge and microwave in room. Spotlessly clean. Good curtains making it nice and dark in the room. Decent breakfast.

United StatesHardly a breakfast, no fresh fruit, white bread and instant oatmeal. The property is a bit run down and dirty on the outside, the remnants of the old Howard Johnson restaurant are in pieces on the property. I was in a room upstairs and everything in the room tilted so the drawers all opened on their own.
Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very well priced

United StatesThis facility was reminiscent of the Howard johnsons of the past. The staff was efficient and excellent, there was a huge group checking in at the same time and they did a wonderful job handling everybody. Breakfast was delicious, everything was clean in the common areas and in the private rooms. Absolutely will stay again.

United StatesBathroom floor needs to be power washed, the bathroom baseboard edge needs to be cleaned and base of the standing lamp dusted. Having only one charger for electronics ( which worked poorly) is ridiculous. It doesn't cost that much to change at least two outlets per room.
Staff were helpful and smiling. Breakfast was good.

CanadaWhen we looked at our car rental site (ACE), it said that we could take the rental across state line to NV. We assumed (our error), this would mean we could take it across AZ state line. We were only told we could not by the agent at the counter, and only after the cancellation time for the hotel was past; so even though the hotel was just 5 miles into AZ it would have cost over $300 to take it into AZ. The hotel cancelled the room when we called but we ended up still paying for another room in NV, and foregoing our plans to visit the Yuma territorial prison site, also just a mile or so into AZ, We will use other booking sites in the future.
The staff at the hotel was very polite and accommodating and understood our dilemma. Our problem was not with Howard Johnson but with Booking.com and rentalcars.com (which is owned by Booking.com). Also with ACE car rentals.
