How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They could have done better cleaning with dust on all surfaces...no shower by the pool, so washing up before swimming must be done in your room...
Everything worked well in this hotel. The room is big, bathroom also. Breakfast good american standard. Location beside Walmart is a bonus.

We were travelling will friends and had 2 separate rooms. This place is a bit run down and in need of a renovation. While one room was really clean, our friends room didn’t get cleaned very well and had a bit of a musty smell. The grout in the tiles in the bathroom had come up and some of the tiles were loose.
It was a central location for our trip. Provided a basic breakfast. Short walk to Walmart and restaurants. For a short stay this accommodation was adequate. The staff were great - very helpful in getting our 2 rooms on the same level.

Lazy guests left dog poop on the ground instead of walking it over to the side of building where there are garbage cans. Perhaps add a few to that side?

Staff response was a bit slow but ok overall.
The property is usually well maintained and staff are friendly. The breakfast is always delicious.

The carpet in the room was not that clean, dusty and had a foul smell. Needs a deep clean.
Breakfast was nice, room was big and comfortable, Walmart is like next door. Staff was friendly, sheets were clean.

Pool area needs updated and was cold (advertised as heated). Breakfast just ok but place was clean. Staff didn’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Decor a little dated in areas. Breakfast was ok but the hot selection was always cold and served on small plastic plates , which makes it a little unappealing. Burners need to be better to keep the hot food at an adequate temperature.
Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Great location for accessing Fishkill and Beacon. Rooms are big, very spacious, well supplied and clean.

It is a older hotel, some things are new and shiny, some are a little worn down. There was nothing on the breakfast I wanted to eat so wasn’t able to take advantage. But breakfast is also the meal I’m pickiest about. They do have a lot of options.
The room was clean and comfortable. There was a misunderstanding about my need for no down or feather pillows (I didn’t double check as I should have) and a housekeeping come supervisor came within 15 mins to change all my bedding. Also, for some reason (perhaps because it markets itself for extended stays) the food and pantry items are MUCH less expensive than other hotels.

Bed was little uncomfortable
Closed off bedroom from living room—good for traveling with baby! Bathroom was spacious and also had toilet in a closed off area, which was also good when having a sleeping baby in your room.

The pool tiles were slippery, the pool and hot tub were dirty, there were no towels and the hot tub was yellow. Definitely needs work!
The rooms were spacious, breakfast had various options.

The pillows were a little uncomfortable.
I really liked the breakfast. It was well made. I would like to see flavored creamers for the coffee but the eggs were lovely. We were close to major restaurantss and highways.
