United StatesThe outdoor pool is right behind the hotel and is open to viewing from public areas. It could use some shrubs or other barriers to provide more privacy. The parking is across the street so you have to manage crossing a major street with luggage, but it is doable.
Room 514 had beautiful view of the marina. Room was large, and beds were very comfortable, not too hard or soft. We had two queen beds and a sofa that pulled out, so you could sleep several people. Staff were always polite and helpful. Ate breakfast there and found it an excellent value - $11 a person, with very nice, varied buffet and pleasant seating. Buffet was much better than what you typically get at a hotel. Also, the hotel is essentially right next door to the Long Island Aquarium, so perfectly located. The hotel even gave us a discount coupon - 33%. Hotel is also not far from wineries I was told, close to outlets (about ten minutes away), and reasonable distance from the Hamptons (about 40-50 minutes depending on where you are going). Would definitely stay here again. Went on a Tuesday, and many of the restaurants were closed, but I understand the area gets hopping on the weekends.

United StatesI got a spot in lot, but I could see parking being a problem. I didn't see a microwave in room...did I miss it? I looked for a writing pad but didn't find one. All small concerns that would not stop me from returning.
Only there a few hours to sleep, but clean, comfortable, I saw a restaurant next door, I saw other places to eat and entertain close in downtown Riverhead. Looked top notch in all aspects I found in hotel and room.

The staff was amazing. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very good location in the heart of Riverhead on Main Street with local bars within walking distance. And the buffet breakfast was amazing. Very clean and spacious rooms. No complaints at all. Check in was smoothe and easy. Onsite bar was convenient. And check out easy as well.
