Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Wait staff seemed uninterested and perhaps understaffed. Sunday there was no ala cart service. The hot tub was not working. The fourth floor atrium area bar was not open all weekend. The bed was uncomfortable. Overall the property looked in need of renovation or upgrade. Overall, it was ok. Not sure if the price was justified
The parking manager was extremely helpful and reception staff also. Room was nice enough

The people next to us were us were loud until 3am. My kids barely got any sleep. The breakfast was awful. All our food was cold, waitress was rude and was not sanitary. Hostess wiped the table off with his hands and then seated people there to eat. Paid $60 for garbage.

The lobby area was very cold including the restaurant areas. Sometimes the hot water was only warm, not hot.

Sound proofing wasn't great, pool needs an upgrade and the deck wasn't cleaned from the day before. More attention should be paid there.

the fitted sheet on one side was dirty, not stained because I could use my nail to scratch at it and a washcloth and soap to wash it off

The property was great! Room service absolutely sucked….after several attempts between 7 am and 10:10 am I made 4 unsuccessful attempts at room service because they never answered the phone and they also never responded to messages! I left the hotel starving!

There are a few things which I would suggest. The cold shower wasn't great. Also, there could be better provisions for soap than one mini bar which I had to use to shower. Lastly, no included breakfast is not great.
I appreciated the speed to check in and out. Very efficient.

The hotel is beautiful. The location is not so nice. We walked to dinner at a nearby restaurant and it was a little sketchy. A lot of garbage and graffiti and just people sitting on the street.

The ELEVATOR doesn't work - waited over 10 mins and had to walk down the stairs with too much luggage. Other guests were talking about same. The lobby is haunted by the sounds of a squeaky escalator. Sounds like the mechanical maintenance needs work throughout

Only picked this hotel for the pool and the pool was closed. The parking deck to access the hotel was a mess.

The staff wasn’t the most inviting and friendly. They put on a faux customer service front that wasn’t entirely believable but maybe it was just a bad night. With the price of the room I assumed breakfast was included especially with how the front desk woman made it sound while checking in, but it wasn’t. We had a room all the way at the end of the hall in a corner so the Netflix and tv would frequently cut out while looking for WiFi. Maybe just another router closer to the ends so those rooms can utilize the internet with ease. These are all minor things, the stay was acceptable and if we come to Rochester we will consider the Hyatt.
The room was very nicely laid out, bedding was soft, clean and comfy.
