How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The lounge access and especially the breakfast is a joke. Definitely doesn't worth the extra money. Worst coffee ever, very poor quality and variety and rude waiters. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience completely lowered my overall impression.
Very central location, super comfy bed and spacious room. Helpful front desk staff. 20usd voucher was a nice touch.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days, and it was the best experience. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and very thoroughly. The hotel has everything you need and more. We especially liked the filtered water fountain on the first floor and really enjoyed the view of the city. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to San Francisco.

The room had an interconnecting door which let a lot of sound in from the occupants in the adjacent room. We had to ask for assistance twice from hotel staff.
Good location. The on site shop was very good.

I'm afraid I have nothing to offer here - as this hotel exceeded all my expectations.
This Hyatt was only one block from SFMoMA - one of the key attractions for my SF visit. The cultural centre across from MoMA had a big weekend food festival - offering many options. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable and the "market" for coffee, breakfast and snacks was really terrific. Also, incredibly convenient with many public transport options - including one quick train to the international airport.

On the pictures when I reserved the hotel, it showed an indoor pool, this was a bit misleading because there was not pool; however, I still enjoyed the hotel.
I liked that breakfast was included and being able to go to the room with the snacks.

I was a little disappointed about the extra charge for parking.
The hotel was a very nice place — clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.

Lighting in room. Light in entry way was not enough to see into the room to find the other light switches. A bulb may hav been out in te light over the refrigerator/

you can hear the music or parties from nearby rooms and even if you complain staff won't do anything, happened on 2 out of 5 nights of my stay

Asked parking attendants to charge our electric car and they did not. We had to stop and charge our car the next town over and made our trip back home longer.

Bathroom a little cramped but still nice
It was comfortable and clean. The view from our corner room on the 28th floor was awesome. The bed was very comfortable. Public transport was just a block away. Could easily walk to Union Square and Chinatown.

Shower is open no sliding door or curtain so the bathroom floor was always soaking wet.
Great location. 10mins walk to cable car roundabout. 15mins walk to Ferry Building. 10mins walk to Saleforce Amtrak stop. 20mins walk to Chinatown.

Tiny niggle, it would have been lovely to have had larger towels
Great room, great view, super comfy bed and a fabulous bathroom. Water bottles were provided to fill up from the ice/water machine on each floor which was excellent. I asked for a kettle and one was provided no problem. Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from, everything you could want and more! The location is perfect, close to lots of shops and transport links, cheap quick and easy to use the BART to and from the airport. I visited SF for a concert at Oracle Park and it was just a 20 minute walk. Highly recommend.
