The only thing was the smell of the room wasn't good, might need a better air filtration or ways to renew it with common area, that was great.

They serve a good breakfast, capsule gives a good privacy and I had not problems with noise in the room. Amenities are all new, bathrooms a really clean. They offer fresh towels and ear plugs.

The hostel is newly built so sleeping pods themselves still dont have locks yet which means anyone can just open your sleeping pod if they wanted to. While there is a web-based site to access your room codes and booking, the luggage storage simply doesnt work over the web basically forcing you to download an app. Luggage storage may not fit a large luggage.

Altough bathrooms are shared, they are very clean. Each floor has 3 bathrooms with heated seat pads, bidets and a nice shower. There is also a communal hairdryer and an ironing table. Rooms where the pods are in are clean and they also have luggage storage which lock automatically. There is a kitchen with refridgerators and ovens in case you want to cook food. The kitchen also has a water dispenser.

My locker is way too high to reach so I was not able to use it at all. Also I booked a female dormitory and there was a guy staying there(he doesn’t seems like trans. Just a normally guy). I guess the fully automatic check in process has its drawbacks.

The Japanese style toilet is so nice. The breakfast was also pretty good with eggs and pancakes. Plenty towels are available.

Fairly minor, containers in shower are unlabeled so I could not tell what's shampoo or conditioner or body wash.

Great, clean, comfy location! First floor provides a place to hang out with other folks, either in the dining area / kitchen or in the couches with the roku tv and foosball. Fresh towels are provided for showering. There's free breakfast too though I didn't get to try it due to schedule. The capsule concept is like the Japanese capsule hotels, but these are at least tall enough to sit upright, and there are plenty of outlets and space to hold stuff. Way better than bunk beds. The bathrooms are great too - legit bidets which are quite luxurious, considering the price this hostel charges.

I don't think there's one thing that I didn't like about this overall experience with my stay. I actually extended for another night and was able to book another night. It was very pleasant and enjoyable. Stuff is knowledgeable. Overall experience five star

It's not accessible, but that's not their fault. If you're staying in the female only area you will need to be able to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs to the top floor. And there are a few short sets of stairs down to the 3 bathrooms on that floor.

Friendly staff, great location, tasty breakfast, clean and comfy capsules (plenty of room to sit up in), bidets in bathrooms, hair dryers, great a/c, luggage drop spot, and nice people staying there. The Goki key worked great for external doors and room. The Goki lockers were installed after I got there - didn't use them but it's nice to have the option. Capsule didn’t have lock installed yet but you can tell they're working on it. It seemed like they are making lots of improvements to the hostel all the time! Very cool place, would stay there again.

I could always go for a lower price, lol; however, there is likely nowhere else you can stay for a better price.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast, which is included in your stay (made-to-order pancakes, eggs, and sausage)! The location was perfect. I strongly recommend those visiting DC (especially solo travelers) to consider I Street Hostel.

The room was very dark, the only window was blocked by beds. Also my room smelled a little stale. The pod was a little challenging to get into. (I'm old!)

Parts of the hostel are semi-under construction, because they have been waiting for the capsule beds to arrive (they were delayed due to tariffs). So they're still installing those beds. I didn't mind at all, as even without the doors installed, the new capsule beds were super comfortable.

Breakfast was great, the property manager and his staff were incredibly helpful! The location is super convenient to the Chinatown Metro stop. My dorm mates were all interesting people to talk to, and everyone was polite and respectful.

This is an amazing place. very polite guys will meet you and help you solve any problem! they have great cuisine, great mattresses and a great location. I have traveled to 7 countries, 33 regions of Russia and 47 states of the USA. rarely when I remember that the location of the hotel in the very center of the city and at the same time silence at night were combined. I had a great time and recommend this hotel to everyone. I would give 10 stars out of 10 and even higher.
