To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaParking. Hotel has a smaller lot attached and it got really full the second night. People parked in non spot and I could barely get my car out next morning. They also neglected to tell me that it was 22+tax a night to park which was about 30 bucks per night. When checking out I had to pay 60 dollars for parking

Great view of the river and within a short walk of a tremendous park. The staff was very helpful and it was easy to get around to all the city sites without a car.

United States of AmericaThis was a very disappointing stay for me. There was apparently an issue with my reservation on the booking end. I reserved a 2 queen bed room. After about an hour we were placed into a room, however it was a kind room and didn’t meet the needs of myself and 2 young adult children. We were switched to a 2 queen and the room was nice. We finally got settled in for the evening, after spending an hour and a half or so with the check-in fiasco when something scary and completely unacceptable happened. On not one, but two separate occasions, hotel guests walked into our room while we were relaxing in bed. A woman unlocked the door and came into our room. I was completely shocked. Then a short while later it happened again. It was horrifying to have a man and dog walk into our room. I felt highly vulnerable and unsafe. I called the front desk and they apologized and offered a breakfast coupon. I don’t know how breakfast makes up for a serious security issue., but that’s how the situation was handled. The “apology breakfast” voucher that was slid under our door was only for 2 guests so my kids had breakfast the next morning while I stayed in the room. I still can’t believe it and it scares me just thinking about it. What I’d my daughter was alone in the room? Or myself? The fact that there was no follow up makes me question whether I would ever stay at this property again.

United States of AmericaI did not notice any bad things but then I was so sick I just wanted to fall into bed and sleep. I was put in a handicap room which was very nice and allowed me to sit while I bathed in the morning.
I had stayed at another local hotel the night before. I had business in the city and became ill. I was taken to UPMC Mercy ED and spent all evening getting treated. I no longer had my prior hotel so I called Indigo and they had a perfect room for me. The front desk was kind, assisted me in getting some fluids, and made sure I got to my room. The front desk told me they placed a note at the desk that I was ill and if I called I needed help immediately. In the morning the desk called to see if I was OK and I left. I will be staying there again.
