The beds were way too high up, and that parking is a little expensive, but it's valet.

Beautiful hotel with extremely helpful and polite team members. Very conveniently located walking distance from so many things. Walgreens, CVS and Starbucks just a block away. Everywhere we want to go was no more then a 15-20min walk.

The parking prices are hefty and overall price quite high all things considered.

All of the staff we met were kind and friendly throughout the entire stay, for example, we had asked for water a couple times and they even offered extra cold water for our trip home because it was hot outside.

We found the rooms somewhat outdated and below our expectations, considering the price per night. The room was clean, but the rug and furniture had some permanent stains, and the general look and feel of the rooms did not match the impression we had from the website. This did not affect our stay at all and was mainly esthetic, but it did lower our perception of value for money. First disclaimer: our stay in Chicago turned out to coincide with a major music festival, so hotel prices (including this one) were probably higher than usual. Second disclaimer: we found prices in Chicago (food, hotels, touristic activities) to be quite expensive in general, so the hotel's price is in line with that trend.

The location is perfect, staff was friendly and efficient, the hotel's infrastructure is well maintained. We appreciated the hospitality and attention of staff at reception, who made sure to accommodate us the best they could. They made sure to upgrade our room to a higher level after the first night without us even asking. The view from the second room was amazing. Thank you!

Bed was on the small side. The shower kept dripping and we could here this from the room, also mentioned this to staff but nothing was done about it during the stay, but hopefully fixed afterwards. Quite a lot of noice from outside.

Great location, staff was friendly at check-in and provided us with extra water bottles. Gym is good. Beds are comfortable, although a bit small. Enough space in the room to leave your luggage and move around.

Only 1 of 2 elevators were working and there are no options to take the stairs to the lobby. The stairs are sketchy and lead to a back alley (emergency exit only.) This caused very long waits in the morning around checkout time and the housekeeping staff didn’t seem to have a service elevator option so that caused even more problems.

The location is great. Walking distance to many local shops and restaurants.

The room felt a bit dated. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and woke me up. I reported it but didn’t get a response. The TV didn’t work well, think the remote control needs new batteries.

Needs better ventilation in the rooms, but I know the building is older. Needs more towel racks/hooks in bathroom, and one for a hand towel at the sink! More sound proofing on alley side from garbage truck noise.

Perfectly located in the Gold Coast/Old Town area for what we were doing. Close walk to the beach. Great spot to hop on the train to get downtown, shady during walks which was needed since it was so hot! Lobby bar was perfect for coffee in the morning. Room was spacious & clean! Water offered in lobby was a plus.
