My partner and I loved Inn on the River. They were accommodating to our two small dogs and were just steps from the river. We usually drive (and sometimes pay) for river access parking, but there was no need to even move the car from here. The room was cute and clean, and the rest of the inn was well maintained and inviting. Breakfast was delicious! We were also able to order food and drinks from the restaurant to enjoy while sitting on the lawn overlooking the river. We drive down from Dallas a couple times a year and will most definitely be back.

The location was great and the free kayaks they let us use made it worth it more so. We had alot of fun and enjoyed the old school hotel. It was beautiful. We liked that there wasn't a TV in the room, making us always out doing stuff- which was a bonus.

Breakfast was very good and made fresh! Pam was an awesome person to deal with there and she is a great person, very accommodating. Room was clean and bed was comfortable with nice sheets. Location is great too. Recommend staying at her place!

The Inn was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the entire place was just cozy. The staff is extremely nice and friendly, and the view of the river was lovely.

We go to the Inn on the River as often as we can for a quiet getaway from the city. The rooms were clean. The staff is phenomenal, very friendly and extremely accommodating! Being a pet friendly retreat is the cherry on top!

This is great place to get away for the weekend and just relax. We needed a reprieve from the busy-ness of life and we enjoyed just relaxing beside the river in the shade of the giant trees. So peaceful!

The owners are so welcoming, and we were treated like family. The breakfast is amazing and fresh, served in a beautiful room that overlooks the river. We loved the outdoor seating by the river. And thank you most of all for helping to keep our dog calm and make her feel welcome.

I absolutely loved our time here at a real B&B. It feels like what they used to be and should be but so hard to find these days. Family friendly staff and hospitality with a beautiful cooked breakfast. The room was comfortable, the loungers by the lake was the perfect spot to relax with a book. It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway from Dallas which is exactly what I wanted. I really hope to visit again someday.

The owner has restored the Inn to the best status ever! It has been remodeled to a historical status with furnishings, repainted and replaced as needed, and made it a great retreat for family and companies. It's a great place to stay!

I would recommend that you keep hot water available for tea drinkers and perhaps some light snacks such as fruit, crackers, etc. in the dining area. When we travel with children these special touches sure come in handy!

The location was superb. We were able to enjoy the town square, shops, restaurants, and the Dinosaur Valley State Park. We liked the creativity with breakfast and of course we thoroughly enjoyed the mystery murder dinner fun. Oh! We also walked several times along the river and saw plenty of beauty.

I love the history and being able to sit by the Paluxy River. I live how dog friendly the Inn is. The location is wonderful and only a block from the charming square of Glen Rose.
