I could stay here forever

I randomly booked 1/2 hour before my stay. But ended up staying an additional night. The grounds around the plantation are beautiful and the view from the patio is amazing . Theres two outdoor showers to use after your beach day, they are filled with ferns and tropical plants. Theres also a hot tub. all the beach accessories that you might need are available. The owners are great and so is the staff. I loved the guard cat tavi. The nature sounds are so relaxing. Birds, roosters, chickens and frogs. The breakfast is delicious and theres always an afternoon treat. I could go on and on. If you want a relaxing, romantic experience this is where you want to stay!

Beautiful plantation house surrounded by lush hawaiian gardens and fruit trees. The Breakfast was top shelf and plentiful, and Michael was very welcoming. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Aloha! This stay was the highlight of our babymoon trip to the Big Island. - Greg's responsiveness & flexibility to enable us to rebook to another date on short notice to enable our tent stay the prior night. - Very friendly hosts & guests - Wonderful atmosphere (loved the sound at night) - Great breakfast & snacks (fresh-made macadamia zucchini banana bread) - Amazing things to do nearby (snorkeling) We just wished we had had time for more than one night! We loved everything about Ka’awa Loa, the hosts have created a very special place. The staff, location and breakfast were all incredible, thank you Hannah! We were so well looked after but also made to feel at home and wish we could have stayed longer! Not a bad word to say, it’s heaven.

Everything!!!!! The location was amazing and away from the city. The staff was so friendly and accommodating when we needed to drop our luggage off early. Food was amazing every morning and the coffee was the best ever had.

We felt like we had to tip-toe around at night (especially to the shared shower) because the house was beautiful, old, and authentic, but very creaky.

The staff was fantastic. Michael was very welcoming and informative of the area and had excellent suggestions for activities. The breakfasts were great and he was very accommodating of our schedule.

Follow the directions the owners give you with your reservation email, google maps is wrong and you’ll end up at the neighbors.

The view was amazing. Being surrounded by nature was so relaxing it’s the best nights sleep we’ve had on any vacation.

We arrived past check-in hours, but they left us a detailed note with all the information we needed to get into our room. Our room was clean, neatly made up, comfortable, had an amazing view, and had a large closet. The bathroom was very roomy and clean with a nice view of the front of the property. The lanai out back overlooked paradise (aka ocean view) and was very peaceful. It had plenty of seating and tables to enjoy meals and a cushioned bench for relaxing. Breakfast was fantastic, banana taro french toast, fresh fruits, fresh coffee (from the plantation itself!!), and the hostess put her own tasty spin on the accompanying sides and garnishes. We plan to be back!

The stairs leading upstairs are a bit creaky, and the sound is amplified in the downstairs suite.

5+ stars for this beautiful B&B! Everything was spectacular, from the warm welcome, to tour of the property and room, stunning views of the ocean, gorgeous grounds, and delicious breakfast. We also enjoyed having access to the kitchen so we could make our own dinner after many meals out. Everything was sparkly clean, every detail was thought through, from the beautiful decor, fresh flowers bedside, in the bathroom and shower, sufficient outlets for charging phones and such, freshly-baked brownies upon arrival, home-grown coffee (grown on the land!), and fresh fruit from the land. We highly recommend staying here. Our only regret is not staying here longer.

It gets very dark there at night with almost no light pollution which is great for star gazing but made it a bit difficult to find. The hosts were very responsive and helpful in getting us there after hours. They even lest us a personalized note at the door!

The property is amazing. The hosts and staff are welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful with many local-made options. Although I don't have any food alergies or food requirements they had many options for those who did.

The absolute worst stay of my life. I will ask you to investigate this property and the owners throughly. The description provided is not accurate. I was not safe. I feared for my life. In fact I may have to file suit against your corporation and the owners. I had a medical emergency. The owner named Michael said he was going to call for an ambulance but he never did! I could have died. I suffered so much. Such mental anguish which cannot be measured. Please have your legal team contact me immediately.
