Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaA pool would be nice. Laundry and minimalist cooking facilities would be great. Maybe a communal bbq.
Beautiful walking, sunrise, birds, nature. Good internet at the shop! Great place to catch up.

United States of AmericaIf you're a light sleeper, please note that there's no glasses in the top window. You can hear all nature sounds. For me was a bit difficult to fall asleep.
Really great place. I was traveling with my son and we enjoyed view and location. Additional fun was watching boar family passing by every evening. Stuff is super friendly.

United States of AmericaDirections inside the property need to be better because I got lost couple of times especially after sunset. It’s scary for new comers like us. I was walking after sunset wanted to visit blue moon room never found one and i lost the back to my cottage, it’s was dark, one guest gentleman name Rauff was very kind to me and he walked with me to show my cottage.
Lovely cottages and the place it self. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Star glazing was an amazing experience. Enjoyed lovely sunrise every morning. Loved the idea of guest writing their experience in the cottage diary.

United States of AmericaLocation was beautiful. Isolated, so close to the beach. The room was also beautiful, it was a small cabin separated from others. It's definitely "jungle chic" so those who might fear the word glamping may not appreciate this resort. But for most, it'll be beautiful. It being behind a locked gate also makes it feel extra safe.

United States of AmericaTricky checkin. Needed code to drive in. Another code for key box. A lot of old, worn items in cottage. Too many light switches. One by the door was upside down. No blanket for second bed. Electricity didn't work when we arrived. Internet and phone service intermittent. Some window cranks did not work. Bidet not connected to wall outlet, no cord. No restaurant within 15 miles. No breakfast. No pool or jacuzzi. Lacking many features that the place had when I stayed here before. Advertised access to masseurs online, but actually not on web site. No male masseurs.
Beautiful location near the ocean. Lovely artwork. Outside shower. One comfortable bed. Roomy. Lots of lights. Very friendly and eager staff. Great climate. Bidet. Lots of outlets. Good wifi when it work

United States of AmericaI wish there were more meal options on the property, though I knew to expect it was a remote location, so I ended up making a run into the closest town for groceries. That seems like the tradeoff for the rugged beauty in this part of the Big Island.
I was looking for a peaceful respite to dive into creative writing surrounded by lush jungle beauty, and I can’t imagine a better match. While staying here I adored my cottage: I could hear ocean waves crashing from the lanai space, I found the seclusion I was hoping for and felt very connected to nature and wildlife on the property. I adored the geckos and mongoose and while I can’t say the same about the mosquitoes (the jungle is real!), overall I found the change of scenery I was hoping for. The classes offered covered a range of interests and I hopped into yoga a couple times during my stay.

United States of AmericaWalked into a cottage with a dirty counter in the eat in area, bare old mattress, bare old pillows, dirty flooring, someone’s clothes & belongings in closet. Rusty torn bar stools and inside drawers and cabinets were dirty. Vanity smelt even after cleaned. We were tired, hungry and too late to get a new place -it was after 5pm. I felt dirty and cleaned and disinfected the next day

SwitzerlandI do not recommend this establishment. First of all because it is overpriced! Go elsewhere, you will find better for less. The geographical situation is not really good. No restaurant before 20 min drive, the area is not incredible and there is not much to do. Moreover, this part of the island is the "hippie" side. I won't say more, but weird people, drugs, nudist beaches, etc... We stayed one week and we were there on New Year's Eve, they were having a party, for a fee of course, that lasted all weekend with drunk and drugged people all along (they were sleeping by the pool). We had to flee during these days.

United States of Americanot really appropriate for folks over 40, ESPECIALLY if there’s a party. We booked our stay over New Year’s Eve just because that’s how the dates worked out for us. We knew there was a party happening (and even paid for it) but did not expect loud thumping disco music until 4 am and a drunken, drug scene that lasted all through the next day. Almost everyone was under 30, and the pool area held 100+ folks all weekend - far from the peaceful stay we had expected based on the website.
once the partying was over, the place was lovely - serene and beautiful

SwedenMore rustic than expected, overpriced and not very clean. You don’t get shampoo or soap, there’s no cleaning room so nobody makes the bed or change the towels. Sweat smelly brown bedsheets. Small cockroaches. Pool, jacuzzi and activities were far away from the cottages so you have to go by car.
Nice that is surrounded by nature and spacious cottages. Good if you want to disconnect from the world. Friendly staff.

United States of AmericaThere really were no negatives for us.
This property is very unique and that it offers incredible privacy and unique style bungalows surrounded with jungle beauty. The entire property offers some amenities, but for us the best part was minimal interaction with other people. Our bungalow which was KAI number 5 has a great Zen vibe and a very private outdoor shower, which was spectacular.
