How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. The room and hotel itself was like domestic violence special. Our room door was halfway off the door frame, the bathroom door looked like someone had punched or kicked their way into it. The room was clean but the beds were super hard and covered in plastic wrap. Housekeeping never showed up. The room had a full kitchen but 0 way to use it no pots pans utensils cleaning supplies plates nothing. Couldnt get more bath towels nonstaff available after 11pm and before 9am at all. We were woken up at 1am by someone yelling armed police open up. Like ok??? What? Not actual police just peoole staying there being jerks. And then people above us having a party 2 nights in a row sounding like they were bowling. Ih and some dude selling stuff out if his car in the corner of thebparking lot and staff was like ih he's fine.

No silverware or hardly anything in the so called kitchen. No even a towel. Tv not hooked up , did not have cable cord. Big bug in bathroom . The stove had no burner rings or pans, and Did Not Work At All. There was an ironing board holder, but no iron board or iron. The toilet was old and like sitting on the floor. It was like the room was half ready for rent, definitely not ready. Going to see if there is water in the shower and get out of here asap.

No hair dryer, sink was held up by 2x4, cockroach in bathroom. Toilet ran all the time. Main areas were dirty.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We had to change room from basement which at first the key didn't work(x3 attempts) Then when it did work we got in and we couldn't get out ...so we called the desk to get us out and were move up to next floor. I don't mean to complain but I think these issues could have been easily in place to make the place worth the price. In the room there was one stand up lamp and the shade wobbled because the screw at the top to hold the shade was missing. That was the only light near the beds. No light between beds or over beds. Did have a ceiling light in kitchen which we didn't use and by eating table and bathroom. No drinking cups in room, cheap bar of soap that hardly foamed, no toilet paper holder for the toilet paper.. ..no coffee Not a big issue). Faucets in the bath and the kitchen sink were reversed on the hot/cold...hot was on the right ,cold on the left., garbage disposal didn't work so the sink drained slowly if you ran water.. All the furniture was VERY old, worn and scuffed...maybe it's due to pets staying.

No amenities. No cups to get water. No coffee. No tissues in bathroom. Room had work done on the day of arrival. The room door was open, trash was full. Kitchenette sink water was off. Sink leaked - garbage disposal no connected properly. When I pointed it out, they came up to look and stated that they would need to come in the next day to fix and I would receive a discount. That did not happen. No one at the front desk at 6:45 AM to check out and no one answers phone.

Verified reviewThe place was dirty, the ice machine had leaked into the carpeted hallway, the pool was closed and dirty, there was no front desk person after 12am or before 8am, and after having to call the police twice due to being threatened by the person staying in the room next to mine I left a day early for my safety.
