Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe one minor issue we had was that there is no elevator, which we did understand at the time of booking. We had numerous bags to haul up/down those 30 stairs, but it was manageable. But if stairs are an issue for you, I would contact the property before booking.
We stayed here for just one night as a family of 3 in Suite 3. The building location is close to the airport, and also close to great restaurants and the lovely Bayview area. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and also spacious. The common areas are great, even though we didn’t have time to use many of them. The property owners were very communicative and responsive about how to check in/check out with the access codes. Overall this is a great place to stay! Definitely recommend! Eat at Honeypie nearby if you have time!

United StatesWe did have a few issues: no matter how much we adjusted the A/C, it remained at 76°F. We sweat through the night as a result. Additionally, we were sent a video detailing how to enter that directed you upstairs, so we dragged our luggage upstairs but could not find our room. It turned out to be on the ground floor after all… I would not recommend sending that video for Room 8. It was also awkward to arrive dodging dining patrons and servers.
The room we were in was excellent- large, comfortable, a private kitchen and washer/dryer. I wish we spent more time there because it was great! Parking was simple and the neighborhood is nice. The communal space is pleasant too!

United StatesI would have rated this property higher, but our first night was disrupted by a persistent high-pitched ringing noise that made it nearly impossible to sleep. We couldn't determine whether it was coming from inside or outside the room, but it seemed loudest near the bathroom and was almost unbearable. Thankfully, the sound stopped around 5 a.m. and did not return for the rest of our stay—otherwise, we would have had to consider switching hotels.
Location was perfection, plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Parking lot on premise, easy check-in/check-out and room was really nice.

United StatesI didn't love not having any staff onsite at all but they seem easy to contact.
The location was perfect and very central to other areas of the city I needed to get to. I loved that it was very close to several restaurants, bars and even some boutique shopping opportunities. There were so many good options, all within walking distance! The attached restaurant is also a great option for anyone that's looking to stay close to the hotel. And the community kitchen and lounge spaces were very impressive, although we did not end up using them.

United StatesThe single only thing that was confusing was that online the Kinn indicates that there is a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant in the morning, but this is not the case. Sorella was not open in the morning. There was some yogurt and oatmeal in the common shared kitchen, which was perfect. I did eat at Sorella in the evening, and it was wonderful. The entire place is great. Maybe just clean up the online info.
The room was lovely, and the kitchen common area was well stocked and a great space

United StatesThe parking! Both locations don't have much, but there was a festival and construction going on, so I often had to park down the street. Also this location doesn't have an elevator which made carrying my wheeled luggage up the stairs quite difficult and unexpected. BUT this won't stop me from staying here in the future I just know ahead of time.
This was my 2nd time staying at Kinns, but the 1st time at this location. Love the vibe, environment and theme. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, lots of stores in walking distance

United StatesWe love staying at The Kinn. We've stayed at both locations in Milwaukee and Bayview. They both are amazing! I personally like to stay in Bayview simply because its out of the downtown hustle and bustle. It's only a short drive to get to downtown Milwaukee. Staying on the second level of Sorella is a bonus as I love their wine!!

United StatesNo elevator. For older folks, the stairs, especially with luggage, are a tad steep/tough. Not having an on-site staff is a bit disconcerting, especially if you have immediate questions about your room/building/etc. And while there is on-site parking, there is not enough of it.
The "cool" factor was definitely there...the location is wonderful, and the overall design, awesome. Being able to park on-site was a plus as was the ease of finding the location itself. The shared space of the lounge/kitchen was really nice along with the appliances/fixtures.

United StatesThe hallway noise was so loud that I thought someone was trying to enter our room. In fact, they were just entering the room across the hall, but there's clearly no noise dampening from the hallway. I also didn't love that the bathroom door is a barn door that can't be fully closed. There was a big gap between the door and the wall even when the barn door was pulled all the way across the bathroom doorway, so the bathroom offered almost no privacy. Finally, be prepared for some stairs. The steps themselves feel like they're at an awkward angle, like you're tilting back as you're trying to climb the stairs.
My partner and I stayed here for one night ahead of an early-morning reservation on the Lake Express High-Speed Ferry. The location was perfect for us to get at least a little sleep before we had to be at the terminal at 5:00 a.m. The communication from the hotel about checking in and out was very good; we had no problem using the codes they gave us to get in and head out.
