    No complaints.

My husband enjoyed the beautiful, fresh pastries provided in the kitchen. As I am gluten free for Celiac disease, I very much appreciated the clean kitchen, devoted fridge space, and practical amenities. The location in Bayview is perfection; great restaurants, coffee, and shops are well within walking distance. One can find pretty much all they need driving north or south on KK! Being so close to the lakefront is a huge plus as well. I loved how private the guesthouse felt. We only saw another couple down the hall one time and never heard a peep. When I bumbled with the Wifi (user error), I was able to call for immediate, patient, and kind help.

I didn't actually interact with anyone. Everything is digital. This is both good and bad. If I was in a situation where I needed something - towels etc, I have no idea if it would be very easy or very hard.

Hard to think of anything. The stairs up to the sleeping rooms were quite steep - took several trips to transport luggage and up and down. If I was being really picky, then instructions for how to use the heating/cooling smart thermostat would have been useful - we worked it out by day 3. Also there was no bed headboard, so we had to be creative in filling the gap between the bed and the wall, so pillows etc didn't fall down. That's all though!

Spacious and attractively furnished, comfortable room. Large bathroom with large shower. Availability of a very well appointed kitchen. Responsiveness of owner to deal with a couple of problems on arrival - cooling circuit breaker needed to be reset and a bedside light bulb replaced.

Parking. My parents freaked out almost every night that we wouldn’t get a spot. They are chain hotel people. I assumed we’d just look on the street or at a garage if it came to that. Spots should be for room rezzies only with tags, though.

I love the community vibe, location was amazing, restaurant was also amazing. Love the quaintness of a smaller hotel, high ceilings, ease of entry into the hotel itself and the rooms. Decor was also awesome.

There are no amenities like ice makers, vending machines, pool, game room, mini fridge or anything else like it. The kitchen is great but it is a community fridge so you have to trust that if you put things in it someone else won't take it. The room doesn't have actual curtains just privacy shades so sun still comes through. That is just a personal preference that I don't like though. The bathroom door in our room didn't shut. Wasn't a big deal because it was just my husband and I but it could be for someone else. All in all it was a beautiful place just missing a few things that are normally pretty important to us. But all of those things are personal preference and nothing against the hotel.

Very quiet. You would never know anyone else was there. Rooms are huge and beds are very comfortable. Feels very safe. Very clean. There is a kitchen you can use. There is a bus stop right outside of the building also. Lots of things close also. Perfect for a couple or people who plan to explore the city or someone who wants a homey feel.

Situated in a nice area. Plenty of great food and eclectic shops to browse through, liquor stores down the street. Wish I had more than an evening to explore. I'd come back.

    Nothing, it was great!

We absolutely loved this property! Our room was awesome! We loved the exposed brick, large windows, comfy beds, large beautiful bathroom and fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and location. It was walking distance to many cool shops and pubs/restaurants, and a short drive to downtown. Management was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. It made our trip to Milwaukee very enjoyable.

Restaurant was a bit noisy next door but this is minor

This is a hidden gem. Room was spacious, bed was ridiculously comfortable and this was on the first floor -a blessing for us with six suitcases and baby. I like that I didn't have to talk to anyone in person as well. I like the location. Familiar with it. Nice restaurants and nearby grocery store (wine!) Still a perfect neighborhood.

We knew that there was no reception/staff onsite and were absolutely fine with that. However, as we stayed an entire week it would have been nice to have someone empty the trash in our bathroom at least during the one time we received fresh towels. We could have texted the owner, but it should be standard. Setting up the portable clothes rack we found under the bed was also no problem, but given that the Kinn is a higher-end guesthouse, it would have been nice to have some more space for clothing or some brief information upon arrival. Just minor items, but they would have made our experience even better.

We absolutely loved the location. I have been to Bay View before and have always wanted to stay here - close to quirky cafes and restaurants and with a feel of the old Milwaukee. Our room in the Kinn Guesthouse was spacious and bright. We loved the old charm and view to church steeples. The open kitchen for public use and free coffee/tea + pastries on the weekend were also very nice. The bed was comfy. Three Brothers, Hungry Sumo, and Vanguard were great for dinner. At Random is a gem for cocktails, a throwback to the 60s. Downtown is only 10-15 min away.

This is the tiniest thing - could there be another wastebasket in the room itself (besides the bathroom)?

THe breakfast was delicious pastries. The common area is wonderful and well supplied. I liked the Ursa products and we went across street to check it out. The restaurant downstairs was really fun and quite fresh Italian food. The room was so comfortable and elegantly decorated, and I loved the sun from the tall windows.

No staff presence whatsoever in what I now understand is an intentionally contactless hotel. Unfortunately, my only human experience was a hostile interaction with the manager (perhaps owner) of the on-property restaurant. I entered the restaurant intending to tell someone how impressed I was with my room and to check out the bar. A man in business clothes seated at the corner of the bar greeted me with a sharp "What do you want?" and then when I said "Well, I just arrived and found my room" he quickly dismissed me with "We have nothing to do with the hotel." This tone cost him my dinner business. I spent $92.00 on dinner up the street.

The room was beautifully appointed, interesting art, excellent sheets and towels, very good bed.
