AC was not very efficient so stayed humid in the room. Hard to dry swimming suits. Coffee at breakfast was undrinkable 2 of 3 days.

The big room we stayed in didnt have a dresser or any place to put your clothes. That’s ok for overnight but if you’re staying for a few days, would be nice to have somewhere to put them.

The pool and the location

Older air conditioner was very loud with the higher temp and humidity hard to sleep the first night. It was working quite hard. But the second night with the slightly cooler temp and less humidity it was much quieter. Otherwise the property was great.

Property was great for an older hotel. Clean and comfortable. Great accommodation for the price.

We did have an issue with our key not opening our door on two occasions but it was immediately rectified on both occasions.The outside could use a little more love, it's a bit drab. But it does make up for it on the inside. I would not call the room dirty because it wasn't but, just a bit more attention to detail in the bathroom wouldn't hurt.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The room had new carpet and fresh paint on the walls. New beds and they were very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and breakfast is adequate. Nothing fancy but there are options such as toaster heated pancakes and waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea and juices. The breakfast area was very clean and cozy. I like that there is a sink and hand soap in the food area.The pool was well maintained. The location of the motel is near several restaurants and about a 20-30 minute walk to downtown TC. There are several beaches in the area. I do recommend this place especially if you are just doing a short stay and don't want to spend much. Some motels are dumps and don't care but this place tried raising the bar and it shows in the details.

I saw and wiped up a few hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower🤮. Bring a sleep mask, the orange glow from the outside lights shine in the room making it difficult to sleep.

Overall clean, good a/c, comfortable bed, jet tub.

Was double charged for the room. Checked in and had already paid with booking.com, front desk staff charged credit card for full price of room. Was brought up to them and was told I would have to wait 5-10 days for a refund. Still waiting for refund. Very unhappy about being charged more than $500 twice.

The beds were a little stiff but all in all everything was clean and somewhat cozy. We had a little bit of an issue at check-in with the room not being ready well after 3pm but I did request a certain room type so that’s not unusual. We just went downtown to shop for the grandbabies while we waited.

The hotel is having staffing problems. Basically they can't keep staff or attract new staff. The front desk person was running between this hotel and the Howard Johnson's across the street because she did not have enough help. She said it has been this way since the summer which in a resort area is disturbing. There was only 1 bath towel in the room. Guests in other rooms around were smoking pot inside the room because we could smell it strongly. We alerted the desk person and she came to the room and smelled it too. She offered to move us to another room but did nothing about the guests that were obviously breaking hotel policy against smoking. Also because of staffing the continental breakfast that was included was across a busy 4 lane street at the above mentioned Howard Johnson's.

The room was clean and good size. The mattress was firm to our liking. Many hotel mattresses are much too soft.

Tv remote had to be right in front of box to change channels. Mirror scratched. Tub drain was difficult to pull plug to let water drain. Bed could be more comfortable. Carpet stained.

They gave me a room on the ground floor which I requested. Easy in and out.

You are right on the road and we could hear cars all night and woke us up early in AM. Maybe ask for a room as far removed from road/reception area. Walls thin as could hear anyone who walked by. Our bathroom could have used an upgrade - pretty dated. Breakfast is continental so nothing hot but we knew that. Noise was def biggest issue for us.

The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff was friendly. They made effort with flowers all around.

Smoking by the office doors

We were able to check in early and not get charged extra money. Staff was very nice.
