I wished there were a full length mirror and maybe mirrors in the bedroom. The only mirror is in the bathroom and that’s hard for two girls to get ready.

The fact that the beach was so narrow and not accessible because oh a land drop-off. Tho the owner said the cottage had a lake view, it would have been helpful to know ahead of time that there was no beach access.

We were disappointed that there was a very steep hill to get down to the lakeside. We are older & this was not worth a potential fall. But we were made aware of this & public beaches were nearby.

Great location between Geneva on the Lake and Ashtabula Harbor. Beautiful view of the lake. Cottage was cute, clean & comfortable.

As we came off season and the cottage was probably not used for a while it was a bit dusty and cleaned in the main area only. Edges, corners, kitchen utensils need more attention. Not a big issue. Still good value for money.

The cottage is closely located to Lake Erie, you have a nice unblocked view from the main room, even so it’s not directly at the waterfront. We came in early April during off season for a visit at SPIRE academy. It was still chilly in the morning but inside the heating worked well. The house has all basic utensils and a small kitchen corner, perfect for us as we eat mostly outside. Communication with the host worked well. We will come back.

Could have used better chairs and lighting for reading, our favorite pastime. Kitchrn was also very tight with very little counter space.

there are so many bees . spraying doesn’t help. but you can’t even sit outside to enjoy yourself bc they literally attack you. has to be a hive somewhere out front

I didn't like the fact that it's a gravel hillside that you have to climb down to then walk along concrete to look at the water. They said that they swim there, but I don't know how since there are huge boulders everywhere in the water.

It's a cute older cottage with some updates. There is a nice view of the lake with an amazing sunset. The area itself was quiet.

It had an odd smell and didn’t look like the place was cleaned properly.

The cottage has safety issues such as a burned electrical plug which the microwave was plugged into, the refrigerator used a cheater plug to bypass grounding it, and numerous types of flooring used throughout were secured to the floor with wood strips extending above the floor level. TV, router, and modem were plugged into extension cords and all of the cords lay exposed on the floor. The microwave and coffee maker worked poorly. I tripped over the wood strips twice, cutting my toe and falling the second time. I'm 79 years old and my fall could have been disastrous. The ceiling sagged in places and the floors were far from level.

The cottage was spotless. Cleaning staff should be commended.

Lack of ventilation in the bathroom. The bed/pillows in the second bedroom are terrible. I probably wouldn’t have booked this cottage if I knew about the path down to the water.

The cottage is cute. Plenty of seating for groups. The extra toiletries were nice!

lacking amenities…. no coffee not enough hot water ceiling was duct taped.

it’s a work in progress but it has potential. very miss matched between each room with the flooring walls furnishings, unfinished walls duct taped ceilings etc but will be cute when done and it was clean but smelled like they hosed it down with fabreze though so that was off putting.
