The staff members were not coordinating well with each other. I was charged for an umbrella, with the claim that I had not returned it, which is completely false. Upon my arrival at the front door, I was instructed to return the umbrella. I even emailed them to explain that we returned it every day, but they have not responded to my emails. The staff was indifferent, and I didn’t feel welcomed, possibly because it was the end of the year.

The hotel was in a great location, clean and comfortable. However, because of the staff, I will never return to this hotel.

While I understand that fancy restaurants and bars typically don’t have TVs, as a sports fan, I would have appreciated at least one screen at the bar. It was a Friday night with the Warriors playing and a fight on as well, and it would have been great to catch some of the action while enjoying the excellent atmosphere.

From the moment you step inside, the experience feels magical. I was warmly greeted by the doormen, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The check-in process was quick and seamless. The room was absolutely stunning—just like the pictures—and I was pleasantly surprised by the well-stocked minibar and in-room snacks. The restaurant and bar were incredibly high-end and classy, with strong, expertly crafted drinks and delicious food. It’s the perfect getaway for a fancy and romantic time with your partner. I will definitely be staying here again!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are super new! Bay view is STUNNING! I’m 100% positive that you can’t find a better view in SF. Really nice area with lots of restaurants. Felt so nice being in this hotel. Will definitely stay there again! Deserves 5* truly!

View was lovely but on the 12th floor had a lot of roof tops diminish from the glimpse of the Bay - perhaps shades that close from the bottom up would help.

The view of the bay was blocked by other buildings. The ac in the room didn’t go below 65 and couldn’t make it less than 70. Water pressure was really bad and it took forever for hot water

The only minor challenge was that reception wasn't on the same floor as the exit, so I had to stop off at reception to check out then wait for the elevator a second time (since I couldn't manage the stairs with heels and my luggage) to get to the exit.

If you're coming to San Francisco for business downtown, forget wherever you've stayed in the past and stay at The Jay! Honestly, it's as if someone manifested my perfect short-stay hotel - and I have to suspect that someone on the design team had the female business traveler in mind - they offered clothes steamers instead of irons (I've never used an iron but steam all my work clothes), had a little ledge in the shower to prop your foot on while you shave your legs, and even sealed the shower in its own ventilation system so the bathroom remained humidity free, allowing me to dry my hair in the bathroom immediately after getting out of the shower. On top of all this, the beds were comfy (offering both a firm and less-firm pillow option), the in-room coffee was some of the best I've had, the soaps smelled amazing, and each floor has a filtered water dispenser so I can stay hydrated with fresh, clean water! The overall aesthetic of the hotel is lovely as well and I enjoyed access to the outdoors on the 3rd floor terrace/restaurant.
