Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel lobby is located on the building’s fourth floor. To get to your room, you must take an elevator to the 4th floor first and switch to another elevator to get to your room’s floor.
I was traveling with a car full of boxes and luggage, and I needed a hotel with an affordable, secure indoor garage to park my car. Meridien Arlington offers a safe indoor garage for $20 a day .

United States of AmericaThe are a few issues that I wish were better. The room service need more follow-up. Even though the room in general was clean, but their work is not quite thorough especially in the bathroom. The are no slippers or bath robe in the room
Almost everything. The staff were very welcoming and took their time providing me with information I needed The location is exceptionally good. You're a few steps away from Roslyn Metro station, and also a few steps away from Key bridge. My room had a beautiful view on the Potomac river and Georgetown. The room was clean, and equiped with good toiletries. There's a parking in the hotel. Is a little expensive, but this is Washington, and if you're planning to use the metro you can leave your car in for 30$ a day. I highly recommend the metro over driving. It's a lot faster and easier than driving your own car

United States of AmericaAmuse staff could use some extra help in evening; but the dinner was really good. Had a nice rosé wine.
Location was excellent. Was there for Arlington business but it’s a great walk over the Potomac River to quaint Georgetown for fun restaurants and shops. Breakfast starts earlier than some other hotels; great for early morning business. Staff at registration was always friendly. Great coffee in room.

Czech RepublicUnfortunately, there were 3 problems there. The first one was expected - WiFi was available for fee... it's really funny that 4-stars hotel wants extra money for service that is standard everywhere. The second problem was heating - system switch-on every 15-20 minutes during the night with sound of working turbine (I can compare with other hotel in Washington DC when heating works well without any noise). But the worst unexpected problem was with payment. First, hotel does not accept GooglePay (unbelievable! 4-stars hotel does not have this standard technology... small shop across street has it! :-) ). Hotel does not accept cash too. The only one way to pay is plastic credit card (better than golden sand, but...). But it was not all. Instead of 168 USD promised by Booking.com my bill was 170 USD (well, 2 USD are not reason to cry)... overall, hotel blocked on my credit card value ~190 USD (in CZK) TWICE, i.e. almost 400 USD! When I have claimed by Booking message this problem to hotel admin, I did not get reply for 3 days... yesterday I got following message "You were only charged once for $170.23, anything else showing as pending are authorizations only and will go away or drop off within 5-7 business days from the date you checked out." Really great! I'm happy to know that these money probably will be available next week. At the moment $170.23 are withdrawn from my card, but 2x 4738 CZK (~ $380) are still blocked. Taken together, when you plan to stay in La Meridien Arlington be ready for financial surprises. Probably that is the reason why they do not accept casn nor GooglePay.
Hotel is situated close to metro station Rosslyn (silver line from Dulles Airport). The room was clean, the bed was quite comfortable. There were coffe machine and refrigerator in the room - in this case it was better than I expected due to guest's comments. On the other hand, nothing special to confirm declared 4 stars.

United States of AmericaThe room was small and the bathroom even smaller in our corner king. There was no fan or ventilator in the bathroom. The rooms do not feature microwaves. The elevators. 3 sets of elevators from parking garage to lobby to room. Hotel parking is not included in hotel charges but is an additional cost as you enter and exit the garage each time.
I like the room and staff. They were pleasant and helpful. I liked the view from the hotel room. The restaurants happy hour was a nice feature.

IrelandGreat breakfast but evening dinner menu is limited and food is just acceptable. We had dinner here one evening. Shared starter, two main courses plus a bottle of reasonably ok wine came to over $160 dollars for food that was ok but nothing special at all. Pricey but par for the course in the area, which has very few alternative restaurants.
Great location for the Metro into the main tourist sights and museums of Washington. Excellent room, very comfortable and well presented.

United States of AmericaWiFi access is extremely expensive unless you sign up for the Marriott Bonvoy program and are given an access code (they did not make this clear at the time we checked in, so I had to sign up for the program later and ask them to waive the WiFi fees). Several of the bathroom fixtures weren't quite functioning correctly (the tub stopper and the sink stopper both had issues). Also, the food available is high-priced (typical of this kind of hotel) but the menu is quite limited, especially as far as grab-and-go breakfast items and snacks or appetizers.
This location was perfect for sightseeing in DC, since it is extremely close to the Rosslyn metro station. The area was clean and quiet and felt very safe. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful in response to all of our questions. Our hotel room was upgraded to one with a view of the Washington monument and the Potomac, which was a delightful surprise. The room was comfortable and clean, as was the rest of the hotel.
