United States of AmericaI had two rooms this stay. The first room had a broken thermostat. It would never shut off and was not reading the temp properly. The second room had a very loud fan, but it was the better option of the two. Why does the pool area always stink and look untidy? It is a beautiful pool, but this is a putoff.
I am a repeat customer. I always love coming here. The staff is great. The view is nice on the marina side. It is a convenient location to good eats and fun.

United States of AmericaThere were no towel bars to hang the towels to dry, so after three days we had a lot of wet towels, being that there was no room service. The grout and bathtub area around the faucet and shower head was grimy. Also, the room was too cold. We tried to set the thermometer to 70 degrees, but it kept going back to 67 degrees. We called for help, but nothing changed. We finally turned the system off, but then there was no separate fan for the bathroom.
Very nicely decorated. Cozy beds and quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location for visiting the NASA Space Center. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony of the swimming pool and yachts in the harbor.

United States of AmericaI saw a few roaches in the room, however beyond that, the room looked very clean. I just love this property so much that it was a bit disappointing to see.
The facilities were great! The pool area was my favorite. My daughter-6yrs old, my husband, and I had a great time. There was a good combination. Of families, kids, couples, and young adults. And the location on the water was an added bonus. It was fun to see the groups coming in from their party boat experience.

United States of Americathe front desk clerk or supervisor was not attentive and treatment was not what I an accustomed to at South Shore Hotel. I rushed there in the beginning of Hurricane Nicholas because of electricity had gone out. I had my son with me who was afraid and Ms. Ashley thought it was no rush to get us checked in, and when my card was declined because I keep our locked, she treated me a little different. Sad but in the thick of the storm safety was not priority. Then she purposely ignored my request for a negative room number amber gave me the opposite, positive 522. Because I stay here often I knew the odd # rooms would still the wind from the storm from being so crazy, well she wanted to charge me extra:(
I love the decor of South Shore, and one of the few hotels left with balconies. Rooms are spacious.

United States of AmericaRooms was in need of repair. Bathroom ceiling tile was shifted with huge hole above shower. Pool area was rancid. I cannot describe how filthy the outdoor seating was and the odor. It was HORRIBLE. Breakfast was supposed to open at 7am (posted everywhere) yet I was told 7.30 upon arrival.
I love this location and hotel. The rooms are a nice size and comfortable. I don't understand why the rooms didnt get a little sprucing up during COVID. Just some paint and repairs...nothing fancy.

United States of AmericaTheir was water leaking threw the roof as soon as you walked in the lobby, they had trash cans placed so that the water could fall inside of them. Room beds were uncomfortable plus pillows. Restroom tub faucet was leaking water constantly non stop, water stain in the ceiling of the restroom shower. Their was hair on one of our clean towels notified front desk about it and they never changed the towel. If you take any of the towels to the room to the pool and dont bring them back up they will charge you $20.00 per towel. Wifi wasn't free. Was you sign in you had to choose an option to pay.
Room was a good size. Hotel looked very fancy and pool was big, plus bar aside the pool was an A+. The view threw our window to the lake was amazing.

United States of AmericaThe room could use some maintenance. The ceiling tiles as you walk into the room were popped up some, the coffee maker was very dusty, the bathroom was not very clean. Also, unfortunately the restaurant/food/coffee was not open while we were there due to staff shortage.
The location of the facility was nice. Our room was nice with a balcony that we did not expect to have. The pool looked really nice, although we did not have time to use it this trip. All staff members that we encountered were very friendly.
