Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe roof top is an amazing attribute but could have a few more amenities and better chairs. Though the staff was very nice, when we asked them abouts stores and restaurants near by, they couldn't tell us anything. Some knowledge about the local area would have been appreciated.
The complimentary breakfast was really good and a nice way to save money. The location is great, close to a station that goes directly into Manhattan and several local restaurants, not to mention great views of the city from the roof top. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable.

CroatiaWhen I made the reservation, I wasn't aware that the LIC hotel assumed my wife, daughter, and I would sleep in the same bed. When I realized this, I went to ask for an extra bed, and I was charged an additional 50 dollars per night, which is okay. I was just surprised by the fact that the three of us were expected to sleep in the same bed.
Location is perfect. Cleanliness is TOP. Bed is okay. The breakfast was decent but the same every day. The choice of dishes included scrambled eggs (made from real eggs), boiled egg, potato salad, hamburger meat or fried bacon, cheese spread, butter, Nutella, American pancakes, maple syrup, several types of jam, apple and orange juices, coffee with additives, tea, milk, breakfast cereals, bagels, bread, and toast. The breakfast is okay but gets boring very quickly. Considering the price of the hotel, the breakfast is okay.

GermanyIt seems to be a bit pricy, but it's about the location.
Central location, E line qroud the corner (which brings you to JFK or La Guardio airport and to Manhattan). Nice and friendly staff, free wifi, clean rooms and hotel, really good roof top. many places to eat at this area and supermarkets, breakfast which is good

GermanyEverything was perfect. We loved the easy transit to the city with the subway. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast room is a little small and you might need a little patience before getting a table. But breakfast was good. We will book again :)

GreeceWe stayed there for 7 days. The breakfast was very tasty and very well cooked! But the main problem is when you have breakfast you want a little bit of variety. For 7 days, we had the same things: eggs, fritata, pancakes, and the only thing that changed was between bacon and burger. When you are booking for 2 to 4 days, it s ok, but for 7, it s a bit harsh!
The cleanliness and the location

United KingdomNothing.
A Super-clean, compact hotel in a great location for a low price that included a very nice breakfast. Friendly reception staff, well-equipped (but smallish) room. Plenty of bars (Focal Point Brewery is 2 mins walk away) and restaurants nearby. Safe on-site parking ($20 per night). I stayed for just one night and did not want any more than this hotel provides. A good find and I would ceratainly recommend it to anyone.

GreeceThere was miscommunication between the employees at the reception, as we were expecting our luggage from the airport. We told the employee upon arrival, but each time the shift changed we had to say it again, and nobody was informed from their co-workers. As a result, we found out that our luggage was waiting for us in the storage room when we asked the 4th employee. We hadn't been informed at all. Breakfast was less than basic, no cheese selection, no ham selection, no vegetables, no croissants. The tables weren't cleaned at all between guests. We had to wait to get a table at least 2-3 times during our 8 night stay. Filter coffee was available 24/7, but no other coffee choices. I don't know if it's an american thing, but the shower head was fixed on the wall and it's not very practical. No cafes or restaurants nearby.
The room view of Manhattan was amazing, and I don't even think they charged for a room "with a view". Quite spacious, plenty of storage (very big drawers), complimentary bottles of water every time the cleaning ladies came. Very comfortable bed, nice temperature that you could adjust! Quite adequate soundproofing. Always had hot water, and very very clean room. The subway station is literally just around the corner! The $100 deposit was instantly reverted at check-out. Cleaning ladies were very polite, we exchanged notes.

Czech RepublicHotel has just great location, it is 200m far from two subway lines heading to most of the city attractions. The environment is quiet and safe. Good price for the value. Room was appropriate, very clean every day. Staff is very nice, helpful. Breakfast is the same everyday, but in comparison to other hotel's options in this price category, you have a breakfast. Boiled eggs, bacon, fried eggs, pancakes, nuttela, yoghurt, musli, apples and oranges. Coffee, tea, milk and juices. I would definitely recommend this hotel, if I come back to NY, I will come back to LIC hotel.

CanadaThe extension cord on the right side of the bed was terrible and very loose connections. Being so loose could pose a fire hazard. The other side had nice plugs integrated into the top of the bed side table so it would be nice if both sides had that.
The room was nothing special but would be nice to have a microwave oven. The Breakfast was nice and the food available was good. The roof access was nice and allowed for some nice skyline photos. The location for the following MTA subway stations was really good. Court sq-23 St, 2 min, Lines: E, F Court Sq, 4 min, Lines: G Court Sq, 4 min, Lines: 7 21 St, 8 min Lines: G 21 St-Queensbridge, 10 min, Lines: F Queensboro Plaza, 11 min, Lines: N, W Hunters Point Av, 12 min, Lines: 7
