In room 125 there was a musty smell, it should have been aired out before we got there , we opened the windows and put air conditioner on, but it felt like our clothes smelled after the night was over

Lobby staff are strangely unfriendly. I walked through the lobby probably three dozen times with very few greetings or even acknowledgements. Weird. Restaurant menu is sorely lacking of healthy choices. I don't know if that is a Wisconsin thing or a hotel thing, but this California fellow was cranky for some vegetables when he got home from his trip.

The location is fantastic. Right on the lake, the views are stunning, especially from the restaurant and bar. While it feels isolated, the hotel is within short walking distance from plenty of restaurants and shopping.

While clearly an older hotel, it was super clean. The details were done. Anything that needed an update, was updated. Shower was good. Bar was good. Location was good. We didn't use the restaurant, but looks good.

Located on Lake Michigan, this is an older, charming hotel. There is lots of character in this establishment, including beautiful tile floors in the main area and an amazing stained glass window. Its an older hotel that could use some TLC, but you're getting a high character place. Comes with a very generous free breakfast in a restaurant overlooking Lake Michigan. Hamilton Wood type and Print Museum is a short walk across the street. A great independently-owned coffee place (The High Lift) is also within walking distance.

Many areas seemed a bit dated. Had to go to the desk to obtain pool towels and blow dryer.

Pleasant staff, Linda at e front desk was very helpful in getting us checked in early due our very early arrival.

Halls were musty smell needed fresh air flow, it's old building needs more tlc, beds need to go in trash. Only one washer dryer set to do laundry, one light bulb missing totally in bathroom open socket danger,

The beds were a bit Spartan, but I am spoiled with a cooling memory foam at home.

The location is picturesque and the beaches are truly breathtaking to the point of absurdity. I was not expecting the view at all. Going at the end of May was also even better as the pelicans were migrating and I got some truly amazing pictures. I've seen pelicans, but never so many and never was able to get the pictures I did. The restaurant is a great value, has excellent coleslaw. The place is also absurdly family friendly. The hotel is like a time capsule with decor as well, and a fun bit for fans of the 70s-80s aesthetic.

Rooms are little dated, and shower was average ( too low even for me, so really low for my husband)- but nothing that you can’t live with

Location is superb- had a lake view room, and restaurant has wonderful views. Something very soothing about watching waves roll in.

Pool closed for maintenance during whole stay but that’s not the property’s fault. We could’ve rebooked if it had been a deal breaker for the trip.
